Thats my setup in my bedroom in my appartment.  It's a Sony Bravia 40" 1080p lcd.  Hopefully there will be a Wii there soon. Anyone else have any good pics?

I think it's interesting that the first 2 out of the 3 systems you got were PS3 and 360, instead of the usual Wii/360 or PS3/Wii.

1950??? Are you serious? I saw it at my best buy for 2500. Anyways I went with the Samsung 40' 1080p, identical picture to that, but got it for less than 1900 with shipping included in that price from amazon. About $1889

yeah sony style.com has XBR model Bravias 40+ in 1080p with 3 hdmi inputs for 2500+ but if you go to circuit city and want an older 1080p model in sony, samsung or sharp its 1999 with 2 hdmi inputs an 1080p  just check their sites. i personally buy from costco, best return policy in the business.

It's a 1080p LCD. All LCD's are inherently progressive. If it get's a 1080i signal it will upconvert it to its native resolution. Only CRT's can do 1080i.

Yes it supports the signal but it can't display an interlaced image. Look up how LCD's work.

Interesting, cause i have an LCD TV the same as TC and i was planning on buying a full HD TV because i am scared i wont be able to get good quality pictures in my 1080i LCD TV and i just bought the 40"1080i in July. Should i change it to 1080p or is it ok with my 1080i LCD?

I had the Bravia 46in V series TV which is a 1366x768 panel. I figured why pay more for 1080 panel when sitting 2.5 meters away you won't be able to see the difference :)

Be aware that not all 1920x1080 LCD panels support 1080p signal input (in fact about 3/4 of them actually do not support 1080p). Those that do not support 1080p will just accept the 1080i signal, do it's own de-interlacing and then show as 1080p mode on the screen. This is different from true 1080p which is direct 1080p source input from Blu_Ray players or PS3 and displayed on TV as it is without any de-interlacing. When looking for a TV supporting 1080p input, make sure it had the "Full HD" logo which means it'll accept a 1080p input and had a 1920x1080 panel. When looking for a "normal" HDTV, make sure to look out for the "HD Ready" logo which means the TV will accept 720p and 1080i signals and had a display panel of minimum 1366x768 resolution.

Ok then i guess it was lieing to me where it says 1080p on the screen.  You probably have the version that does 720p... I think i would know what my own tv does.

I do not believe that there is even one current gen 1080p LCD that does not accept 1080p in. Granted, the Sammy 1080p LCD overscans enough that it can not display every pixel, but it still takes in 1080p. The OP's set is the exact same panel used in the XBR2/3 sets without some of the advanced circuitry (mainly makes SD look better). The KDL-XXV2500 &XBR2/3 are the best LCDs available currently, however you should know that there are some significant clouding issues on all these panels. If you go to a very dark scene, or even on a blank input and turn the lights off, you will see a variation of clouds across the screen. They seem to be caused by some excess torsion and Sony is slowly working towards a fix. My XBR3 from the master bedroom is actually getting replaced by Sony next week sometime.

Not the best TV, but I've been rocking it for years. Can't let it go.

My old/new Jean Claude Van Damme/Steven Seagal. Yes they still make movies, but they are all DTV.

Don't have that much games like I used to due to me selling back on Ebay, but I'm slowly getting back again.
