Any broken PS3 ?

hello

im wondering if some of you has any problems with his console.I mean ,did any PS3 destroy or you sent your PS for warranty etc. Coz I heard a lot about problems with X360 and i wanted to know if PS3 has any defects.Does it has any defect ?

actually, mine has frozen twice, while playing music from my computer

both times in visualisation mode...

anyone had that? I was worried when it happened the first time, and even more so when it happened the second time

but game wise...nope

ThePS3 is built like a tank no problems here at all even sitting in a cabinet with just barely enough room for it to breath.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITH A 360.

360 hardware is awful

i posted this in a seperate thread but i had a problem with mine. i suspect the optical drive died cos ity wouldnt reaqd any discs 5 weeks after i got it.

However, Sony's customer service exceeded my every expectation and i should have a replacement delivered tomorrow.

i guess i was that unlucky 1/100 that got a crap one :(

not to worry i have every bit of confidence in sony after the way they handled the fault.

Mine has frozen a couple times. Last night, while I was playing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the game froze, so I shut the console off with the PS button. When I turned the console on tonight, it wouldn't load any discs at all. No games, no movies, nothing.

Really sucks.

I had Warhawk freeze once mid-game. It was nothing big, I just restarted. Ofcourse this was after 3 straight ours of gaming.

Former GameSpot Editor Jeff Gerstmann had his PS3 freeze at the end of his "podcast" on his blog, and it was just sitting in visual mode while playing music.

Even so... It still beats the RRoD.

the defection rate of a ps3 is around 1% it was already stated and as of now very few to none ever post of problems here. aerziel

no problems. mine froze 3 times that is it. that was my 80gb. i have a 40gb i have not tried yet. i for see no problems

i got my ps3 on christmas day, but it broke :( it said somethign liek hard drive faliure or some BS

so i got a new one next day.and i havnt had a problem since and on the the 26th it will be its 26th day in my house

Haven't had any issues with mine, nor had any of my friends.

One impressive piece of hardware.

So far there have been a very small number of PS3 failures. This even holds true to the ones that are on 24/7.
