60 Gig all gone!

my towns almost completely sold out of 60gigs as well, Zellers has a few still but only because Zellers sucks. :P

well that was there plan with the price drop, the 80 gig is great deal now, and there are a bunch of bundles coming out with the 40, so it looks like PS3 will be having a very happy channukah :)

Do the 80 gb have the same backwards compatability as the 60?kfjl

yea, 80 gig is software emulated, completely different from the internal emotion engine chip found in 20's and 60's. I don't know if this is true, but I've heard that psx/ps2 games cannot be played in hi-def through software emulation of the 80 (and psx gamesin the 40). From what people tell me, old psx and ps2 games look awesome when played through hi def on a 720p tv with the 60 gb smoothing option. This is one of my big reasons for wanting a hi def tv now.

It's not bad but it's not as nearly as good as the 60gb's

No it's not, it'll play most if not ALL PS2 games and most of the PS1 games

i went to zellars the other day i look at their games. theyhad antique games for like $50!!! Darkwatch and siren werer both $50! but the thing that shocked me the most was that they had 80 ig PS3 for $700!!!! No joke!! Also this is in canada by the way! Walmart has them for $500 due to the high canadian dollar and plus the price should have been $550 at max since the 80 gig just took a price drop.

I was absolutly shocked! I couldn't beleive it!
