to me Raiden was cool. It was kinda annyoing when him and Rose argue but that made even more real. And one part inside arsenal gear when Raiden was naked. I love that part because its funny seeing Raiden running around naked. I love Colonal's dumb lines " i need scissors 61". Man i own with the sword

I think alot of people were just dissapointed at the fact that playing as Raiden took away from the time where they could have been playing as Snake. But, I gotta admit there was times when he truly annoyed me, IMO. Snake FTW.

I don't hate Raiden of MGS2, I just don't like him. Because of him, MGS2 was a disappointment and doesn't feel like Metal Gear game at all. When I was playing MGS2, i felt like playing a game NOT titled MGS.
To be honest I did not have the least problem with Raiden. I thought if I had to play as someone otherthan Snake, Raiden was an excellent choice. As for being a cry baby he did what anyone in his situation would have done except handle it with strength. Kojima tries to make Metal Gear as real as possible with some crazy stuff mixed in. I mean think about it, Raiden acted as any soldier would have. He expected to go in and rescue the President, not fight vampires and people who can't be hit with bullets.
why do people always say that Raiden whines and complains too much?? WHY?? Yes, he did question a lot of what was happeneing in MGS because he was MISINFORMED!! AI Colonel kept things from him and people were betraying him left, right and centre!! Including his own GF! He was briefed with BOGUS information about the whole Big Shell stuff. Even Snake was kinda decietful to him and used him as bait! Anyone would complain under these circumstances! (even Snake "the legendary hero" complained in MGS1, no one noticed that did they? So did Big boss, and yet I am not hearing any complaints about that either) Not to mention Raiden was a rookie, on his first ever field mission! Child Soldier days don't count because he had no recollection of it since the patriots had manipulated his mind and what not.
As for gay stuff well he had a pregnant GF . Yes that is very gay of him!
I don't have anything against raiden, actually I think he was a good choice for a main character because all the situations that raiden went trough wouldn't have been appropiate for Snake (S3 plan) My only complaint with him is that he's kinda girly and is not as badass as snake to be a mgs character
Snake's what the whole series is about, then you get a game, with a guy, with a light voice, blonde long hair and whose personality was anything but awesome... I know it was a trick, so that you could see Snake's true awesomeness from another perspective, but people were disappointed...
Says a guy/girl who's got THE most effeminate character's pic as their avatar, Sephiroth!! Atleast Raiden was mascular! Sephiroth like all the other male characters in FF look 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times more androgenous and effeminate than Raiden! Make up your mind!
did anyone see the MGS4 E3 preview when Snake sits down, takes his mask off and you can see that hes actually Raiden, and he makes a gay face and everyone who was watching that video at the E3 start saying "booo!" lol

No they didn't make fun of him they just wanted to please you haters.. And that's old news buddy!! Raiden is replacing Snake on every front cover of ganing magz there are!! With his new badass look. So yeah please try and keep up!
