I just bought a brand new Xbox 360 controller for my PC to play games. it works perfectly with Call Of Duty Black Ops. my problem is it freezes (all the lights on the ring lights up then it starts vibrating non stop) anytime I'm playing these two games, Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Hunted: The Demons Forge. I downloaded the x64bit Xbox controller driver from Microsoft but the problem still persists. anybody know how to fix this?? thanks!

hmmm have no idea but if by any chance you have a dualshock 3, you can use that for your pc by using the program "motionjoy". has alot more customization ability and even lets you emulate a 360 controller. so your pc will think you're playing with a 360 controller for those games that use the 360 controller natively

thanks for the reply. i just bought this new xbox 360 controller so i guess i'll be sticking to it for a while. I'm pretty sure there's a driver or software that can fix it or something.

have you tried unstalling the software along with the drivers? then reinstalling everything.

I have the same problem.

Also to the guy who says use a KB/M, try playing SF4 without controller.

Is it wireless? Perhaps anoother wireless device is interfering, which affects some games, but not others. It happened to my Rumblepad 2. Whenever I heard my sister start up the laptop (which enabled wifi), it would crash my games when using the controller.
