Hey guys, since the X3 games are on sale today, I thought I might pick one or two of them up. However, they remind me of EVE which I found way too complex and I wasn't really having fun with it. So is X3: Terran Conflict similar to that aspect, or is it more easier / fun to play? Thanks for your help!
I bought the game after watching these video turotials http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=297924. These videos helped me get a handle on the game and I enjoy it immensely.
It's a good game, if it's the type of game you like. It DOES take a time investment in order to learn how to play. It's very sandboxy, you can fight, or trade, build a fleet or an economic empire. If you like space sims, choice, complicated gameplay that takes time to learn, it's definitely a good game.

If you watch those tutorial videos, you'll find the game MUCH easier to grasp. I had a hard time initially and put down the game for months. I picked it up again recently and forced myself to play and got hooked. I've watched a few of those videos and they've helped me even more, which is making me want to play the game even more. At least with Terran Conflict, I'm sure you will more than get your money's worth.
Shocking game.Just frustration from the moment you start it.One of the most overatted games of all time. Hopefully there are better space games coming out soon.

Sounds like you have to grind away for months and months to get anything out of it. Terrible game.
