The only things that made the halo Francise recognisable was Halo 1 and 2. 1 Was highly acclaimed because in 2001 it was release as one of the first xbox games and showed truly what the xbox was capable of. It's graphics at the time were unheard of. Halo 2 is the game that defined online. Halo 2's slayer modes with 16 other people was the most fun you could have with a game at the time.
Ever since the release's of games like BF2 and the Cod Francise Halo has not adapted. It's still fun with the made up futuristic vehicles and playing as a spartan but its missing something that games of today have. Destructable buildings "CHALLENGING AI" breath taking story lines and some of the best voice acting is not in halo. Back in 2001 yes it was a highly detailed well planned game, in 2004/5 Halo 2 blew everything away (except for counter strike) with great online multiplayer, But today these things come standard with any shooter.
If halo 3,4,5... ect ever came to pc sure i might buy it but i would never see it as one of the best games i'd ever played if nothing new is Incorporated into it.
Halo 3 shouldn't and probably wont come to pc but if 4 were to it would need something to stand up to todays standard of games and possibly even future games. HALO 4 would also fail without bungie so dont get your hopes up waiting for a good game because in the end it will probably suck
