I have a Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.8GHz with Nvidia Geforce GT430 1GBDDR3 with 3GB RAM and 750GB hard disk.I wanted to know that which powersupply will be suitable for my PC?

Your PC will not be more than 150W, granted a decent 400W is overkill. Just about any PSU made the last few years (ATX 2.2) would suffice for a low end PC. Dont worry, just get a good brand 400W (as an corsair cx400, antec EAWt's 380w, FSP 400W or whatever medium/high class brand.) for a low end build that is pleanty.I have a Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.8GHz with Nvidia Geforce GT430 1GBDDR3 with 3GB RAM and 750GB hard disk.I wanted to know that which powersupply will be suitable for my PC?

Hate when people go overboard with PSU's... Waste of energy and money my mate got a 600W for a fairly similar PC except CPU was a little more powerful and GPU is like some 8500GT or something... definitely not enough to warrant anything over 400W let alone 600W.I have a Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.8GHz with Nvidia Geforce GT430 1GBDDR3 with 3GB RAM and 750GB hard disk.I wanted to know that which powersupply will be suitable for my PC?

Yes, it's getting tiresome to always be saying the same thing over and over again but it seems like it's needed. I think it has to do with the little knowlage people have on the matter, people is wrongly comfusing much wattage for quality, to be honest they're often on opposite side of the chart. 400w for $49 = probably a high-end/top quality one and have no trouble running most singlecard solutions. 700w for $49 = probably a really crappy one witch would not be able to deliver safe and stable 700w and probobly it has no saifty circiuts either, when your near pushing 400w it'll brakedown and take a few otehr components with it in it's fall, the quality 400w one will have no problem deliver the 400w and provide all kind of saifty circiuts while having good ripple, stable voltage. I, as often i see it here on GS keep touting the importance of good quality PSU's, the wattage isn't important to most medium-lowend builders as most builds here @ GS never reach the 300w mark (probably the most on the 12v rail's.) But settling for a no-name 700w won't cut it either.I have a Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard and Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.8GHz with Nvidia Geforce GT430 1GBDDR3 with 3GB RAM and 750GB hard disk.I wanted to know that which powersupply will be suitable for my PC?
