I use a bow mostly. Best I have found so far.

Firiniel's End

Damage: 48

Weight: 12

Value: 785

Target takes 20 points frost damage to health and stamina.

#2 Posted by Phoenix534 (17774 posts) -

Right now I'm using the Mace of Molag Bal

Damage: 41(somewhere around there, not sure what the actual nubmer is)

Weight: 18

Value: 1257

Enchantments: Does 30 points of Stamina damage, 30 points of Magicka damage, and fills a soul gem if the target dies within 3 seconds.

Im using a Skyforge Steel Sword with a damage of 39 and havn't gotten around to enchant it yet.

Its a Dwarven War hammer(fine) that adds 30% to two handed weapon damage/skill... got it in some cave three days ago. 53 Damage weight is 24 and sells for 1339.

My looks.

It's not the most powerful, but is pretty good and looks the best out of all the weapons I've found:

Smithed Glass Bow... 356 damage, +25 shock and frost damage.

The Wabbajack

#14 Posted by JohnF111 (14122 posts) -
Right now it's just my ebony sword, something like 52 damage enhanced to the max with a crappy little enchant that does i think 11 damage of shock. Not too bad but certainly could be better.
#15 Posted by grafficsak (304 posts) -

Been using a 2 Daedric Swords fully upgraded and 60% enchanting bonus. One with Soultrap and the other with shock damage. Power leveled smithing to 100 at lvl 25, currently lvl41, been owning ever since.

I focused on smithing so the weapons i have crafted have been the best. Right now im all deadric with my bow doing 68 dmg or something like that plus 10 frost dmg.
#17 Posted by Baranga (14217 posts) -

Some random elven sword with like 18 damage and 20 life leech. I used The Pale Blade for a while but many creatures are immune to cold damage so it wasn't really worth it.

:D Sorry guys

#22 Posted by call_of_duty_10 (4954 posts) -

I am only level 8,so the most powerful weapon I have found is the ancient nord greatsword:P

Does 39 damage and usually kills wolves in 1 hit.

btw,is it hard to get daedric equipment?

#23 Posted by Oodama_Rasengan (528 posts) -

I use dual wield daedric swords... level 40. Two shots ancient dragons on master difficulty.

#24 Posted by realguitarhero5 (3903 posts) -

I only use daggars, so I guess Bovir's daggar which does 13 damage :/

I'm mostly a mage anyways.

#25 Posted by rmfd341 (3808 posts) -
I still have to craft something smart, although my character doesn't use enchanted weapons..
#26 Posted by Croag821 (2324 posts) -
I got my Deadric Greataxe up to 400 damage with two-handed armor enchantments, I haven't enchanted the axe yet though, theirs really no need haha.
#27 Posted by i_got_swagg121 (1 posts) -
OH!!! thats the Dawnbreaker!!! i just got that sword!! it kinda freaked me out when i was hurdled like 10 billion feet in the air! haha lol!
#28 Posted by Elann2008 (33028 posts) -
Not sure what it's called but it's a one-handed sword that glows red. I think by now it's quite useless for my level but I've been using it because it's still better than vendor trash. Somehow though, I manage to plow through most, if not all foes I've come across. Maybe I need to up the difficulty so i'll be more motivated to find better weapons. This also reminds me that I need to dedicate this weekend to Skyrim - I haven't touched the game in quite a while.
#29 Posted by XxRhamnalesxX (1 posts) -
well i smith so its not really finding but i do have to find the materials. since i have enchanting maxed as well as smithing i have the deadric sheild and deadric sword. the sheild allows a +60 health increase as well as a higher resistance to frost, the sword is Max at Legendary and has a +40 percent to one handed attacks as well as 30 damage of frost. the sword its self with the percentage adds to about 227 of power adding the frost damage to both health and stamina. also upgraded weapons and armor are a bit better since of a necklace i have that adds 30 percent better smithing. as a bonus my armors all have health and increase of carry capacity or defence against certain elements. i have 5 sets of deadric just in case a quest specializes in mages or orks or whatever i may need in fact. i have a few other weapons. but not even the mighty shadowmaster falmer does any damage tell you the truth. only thing that makes me think twice are ancient dragons. and even then im an ork so 6 swipes of my blade and he sits down to supper =)

I'm kinda disappointed in the loot. It seems after a certian leve, you can't find any more good loot; you have to craft it. Still a fun game IMO. :)

It's anything but that. What I mostly find now is ebony, daedric, and glass weapons. I'm at 59 now and it's been like that for 10 levels.

Daedric Sword Damage: 31057 (1 hit kill everything on Master Difficulty) Before you ask no i did not use any cheats or mods, i use Smithing Potions.

One of my main gripes about the game is that it's too easy to get yourself the best weapons and armor in the game, and that certain skills (Sneak, Enchanting, Smithing, Conjuration, and Alteration mainly) are far too easy to level up. After a certain point, there was no real challenge anymore, and thus, I got bored. I think I put around 50 hours or so into it and I don't think I'll go back to it until they either release an expansion, or some better mods come out.

That being said, they did a lot of things right...but just made a few things too easy, and the forms of magic other than Destruction and Healing seemed a little too useless to me, I don't play as a mage though, so I could be wrong.

That's my point. Yeah, you keep finding those levels of weapons, but they don't increase in damage or ability. I know it's kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't mentality as I hated that everything around you scaled to your level in Oblivion, but I feel there needs to be a balance or you just lose interest as it gets too easy (at least I did.)

Yeah, I may just have to increase the difficulty level as the only enemies that give me any trouble anymore are the higher level casters, which is my hesitation because even on normal difficulty some of them two shot me. :?

iron dagger

alan_carter

Hmmmm, well if I saved all the ones I crafted to power level my blacksmithing and rain them down on my enemies then I would have to agree. :)

note: my sarcasm detector isn't broken, I promise. :)

Cheat codes.

#40 Posted by Emraldo (1959 posts) -

I crafted some ebony swords for my first playthrough, dual wielding them with about 150 damage on each (3 shotted the final boss).

Second playthrough I'm playing a pure mage (no armour, no weapons, all magic trees) and I'm finding they're really weak. Even after getting your enchanting up to lower the cost of destruction spells to make them spammable I had to get the Midas Magic mod to get some spells with decent killing power.

#41 Posted by Jd1680a (5956 posts) -
Ebony sword at fully smithed have a damage rating of like 80. Tho I prefer to use Steel Sword to help increase the challenge against the dragons.

Daedric weaponry is generally the best for attacking, either upgraded to Legendary via a grindstone and enchanted with INFERNO to create a "Daedric ***** of Inferno (Legendary)" or enchanted with WINTER in which case the weapon would be called a "Daedric ***** of Winter (Legendary)". If your a Skyrim nut you most probably already know this but if you don't then your welcome!
#47 Posted by Caladfwich (104 posts) -

My best weapon is a good fireball on someone face, i can do like 300 damage with dual cast (and i don't even have max destruction on this char yet), all thanks to the "Balanced Magic" mod.
