HT Omega or anything else based on the C-Media Oxygen HD chip. Link They have good Vista 64bit support. I own the Claro plus+, it's absolutely awesome. Software is lightweight and functional, more Dolby functions than you can shake a stick at, works great in all my games, absolutely superb sound.

I have an X-Fi XtremeGamer card with Vista x64. The only problem I've encountered is that the ALchemy (for using OpenAL) does not work. There's probably a fix, but it doesn't seem to affect sound quality, and I use a usb headset for gaming anyway.

STAY AWAY FROM THE X-FI! I already switched back to XP on my main machine because of it, but once i get an Nvidia GPU For folding and/or 4GB of RAM i'll have to decide if i'll put up with it or sell it and use the on-board in Vista. Creative doesn't let you download all the things from their website that you get on the install disc and i'm pretty sure neither my X-Fi or Zen CDs worked in Vista 64. Then my X-Fi control panel was in disarray and i couldn't control anything from the tray icon.

X-Fi is problem free and the best card you can get. I recommend the X-Fi Xtremegamer. Mad bang for the buck.

Creative products are the de-facto standard as far as PC gaming goes. Of course those would be the best choice.
