Now that MS has released a ton of fixes and performance patches for vista, does the new OS finally match up to the performance of XP when playing games? Is it finally worth it to get vista if you`re an XP user?
There have beena fewperformance patches for Vista to fix issues when copying files and stuff. It doesn't really affect gaming performance.
There are better video drivers than 6 months ago so the gap between XP and Vista is small in most games. Vista will always be somewhat slower since it's a newer OS.

Updated comparisons are hard to find and I think it's mainly because the difference has been so small for the longest time. Here is an old Gamespot article. I am sure things got better since the article was written.
