ok i went to srtest.com and so far i have all the recommended stuff except my cpu (meets minimal) and the 2gb ram which i have 1.5, and then my graphics card isnt even close so im planning on getting a Nvidia GeForce 8600 ( i cant afford the recommended) so how dose that compare to the recommended and the minimal, thanks

edit: i have a 3 year old moniter so do i need to get an LCD moniter or something to get the full effect?

first off if your proc meets minimum your probably gonna end up playing on low, secondly i cant really reccomend that card for performance, look into the foxconn 7900 gs on newegg or the 1950 pro/gt. thirdly a crt monitor looks as good as or better than most lcd's these days

did you even look into the cards i reccomended. they are much faster while still in that general price range and you monitor will look as good as or better than an lcd

If you want DX10 but price wise, the 8600GT is better. The 8600GTS costs about close to 200 (and it is the card I have) and only performes close to 7900GT.

Get a 8600GT, a aftermarket cooler, conductive ink, volt mod, and overclock, and you can overclock it to match the 8600GTS. But if you can wait out a bit, till end of this month, and obtain about 200 or more, you can pick up a 8800GT 256 that should be about 200, and will outperform the 8800GTS 320 easily.
