I've never played any Tropico game before. It looked interesting in PC gamer, downloading the demo now, thanks. :)

Played it and well, it doesn't seem to be a big difference from Tropico 3, in fact it just feels like an expansion with better visuals. It's good no doubt but I don't think I'll be picking it up since I've got Tropico 3 already. Those who haven't got Tropico 3 can just buy Tropico 4 instead, since it has a few new things to it.

What is Tropico like for builders outside of the main story? alot of depth?Birdy09

I also thought this looked more like an expansion pack than a sequel.

hope it is as good as number three!!! but imo it seems a tiny bit too soon to release a fourth one but, hey, if its quality then I won't complain

Pretty much. Voicing, buildings, all the same still, but with a different approach to missions and also a quick build feature. Stick to Tropico 3 if you have it.
