Steam Weekend Deal?

Think there will be one or will they skip it this week as Portal is FREE till the 24th of may?

Tons of companies are clamouring over a spot on a weekend deal. No doubt that they won't skip this weekend.

Yeah. I purchased Torchlight for only 9.99. It is a pretty decent RPG. Very similar to Diablo.

But the only thing that made Diablo 2 awesome was its online multiplayer experience. Try going through Hell alone, it sucks if you're not partied up. The bots and rushing kind of ruin the game, but then I guess its all about end game anyways.

Damn it. Another game that's going to force me to clean up my hard drive. I've been wanting this game since before it released, but never had the cash. I have no more excuses.

I highly recommend Tropico 3 as well, especially if you're familiar with the older titles. It's always fun to run the nation as a militarist dictator.

I can't resist that deal on tropico. My bank account is going to hate me though.

Everyone is recommending Tropico 3(which I did pick up BTW), but I have to say that Quantz is great for $3. It's a fun little puzzle game.

I think I see a "torchlight 50% off!" thread in here at least once or twice a month... they must be putting that up on sale a lot. Or is it just me? I don't even have steam, so I can't be bothered to go look, but it seems like they're trying really hard to make everyone play Torchlight. :PChiliDragon

Well . . Torchlight looks very interesting - that's a definite maybe.

The puzzle game looks a little bland.

That leaves the game where you play a communist dictator - that's a definite no. . . with a capital *yuck*.

I think I see a "torchlight 50% off!" thread in here at least once or twice a month... they must be putting that up on sale a lot. Or is it just me? Tropico is a city-builder, the "dictator" aspect is simply for the sake of charm and atmosphere; there is very little (I would argue zero) roleplaying as a dictator in the game.

Also, you do not have to be a dictator: you can be an American funded capitalist, a Russian funded communist, a rebellious farmer that has become leader of a country, a religious leader, and more.

Tropico 3 is easily one of the best city-builders and economic games I have played. Its so much fun, its charming, and it has a lot of unique aspects to it
