I am kicking myself in the butt for buying SupCom 2 last week lol. Dont get me wrong, its a good game, I just sort of missed out on some good deals in the past week or two.
I played through Left 4 Dead 1 and didn't really like it very muchPvt_r3dStop right there! L4D2 is pretty much the same as L4D1, only with more guns, different maps and different (and less likeable, IMO) characters. If you didn't like the first one, you surely will think the same (or worse) about this one.
Almost bought it, but then I remembered that, while I love/loved L4D 1, I really only got a couple months out of that. Not to mention BF: Bad Company 2 is already eating enough of my time, and Team Fortress 2 is there for me to fall back on.
Thats seems about the right price l4d2 felt like a rehash after all the fun i had with the first one it fell short of my expectations but for $25 its a good buy.
a couple months isn't exactly bad hell i'd say thats pretty good if it managed to keep me intereted for more then a few weeks it did something right. And considering price of entry is only $25 you should go for it . There have been very few mp games have kept me interested for longer then 4-8 months and there all made by valve.Almost bought it, but then I remembered that, while I love/loved L4D 1, I really only got a couple months out of that. Bought Just cause 2 instead.........................best $44.99 (love teh pre-order bonus 10% off) i have ever spent (other than Diablo2), stupid money running out:evil:
Left 4 Dead 2 is a much better game than its predecessor. There are more weapons, enemy types and improved level design. The levels are not only longer but are more expansive. This is significant because it works in conjunction with the three new infected classes to keep the survivors moving instead of allowing them to box in a corner to defend themselves.
Check out my review if you like.
I bought the four pack with some friends, we ended up paying 14 Euro each. It was more of an impulse buy, since I didn't really like L4D...
And I'm not feeling this one either. I'm jealous on my friends that think it's the second coming of Christ, it's like they're talking about a completely different game!
With strangers both games suck, especially when there's a smartass in the group that thinks this is SERIOUS BUSINESS and ruins the mood by barking instructions or spoiling a section for us noobs.
Anyway, I saw Snyder's Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days/Weeks Later recently, so I'll just pretend I'm Ving Rhames...
