yea the first thing i would upgrade on that build would def be the video card also, since your computer is pre-built, may i ask what the wattage of your power supply is? Power Supply's are usually the first thing a company cheaps out on

Lol you got bad eyes, thats 380 watts, and thats still pathetic.

Out of 10, I give it a 0, because we have a rate my rig sticky at the top, if you need to upgrade, then say so.

yea 380 watts is pretty low but expected considering where you bought the computer...at any rate I would look into a gtx 550 maybe? check tomshardware.com and look for some wattage estimates on video cards...any card that doesn't pull more than 300 watts should be okay

EDIT: actually i think a 560Ti would be a great fit for you, and its a great mid-range card, very solid, i'm more of a Nvidia guy, but maybe a midrange Radeon card would do as well

its generally cheaper and less hassle if you just throw the thing away and build from the ground up i mean you can get something with twice the performance for probably 5 times less what your pay for in a prebuild

Thats tiny, you need a new case, it won't hold anything worthwhile.

A 2/1......so basically bro, you got a crappy computer with a tiny case, and now you are tempted by pc games. You shouldve thought of that before you bought a cheap azz dell. Right now the most expensive option is to throw away your build and build a new one. The least expensive option is to buy a low profile video card like the radeon 5670/6670 for about $60-$100 and be able to play whatever game you want. The 550ti is out of the question, your power supply sucks. Here is a link to the 5670

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150535

that is a 5670 for $70 plus you get dirt 3 for free and a $20 mail in rebate as well

4/10. Prebuilt with weak GPU, tiny case and PSU with no upgrade potential. You won't be able to upgrade at all really. You may as well just get a new pc.

Different rating if you want to game or use as a surf/work PC.

Gaming it get a 2/10, the graphic is as lowend you can buy, its to weak to play moden games even in medium settings, and thats bad because even the new onboard GPU's can do better in most things.

Work/surf it get a 4/10 even if the CPU is enough it's still just a older lowend Core2duo and dont got four/quad threads, the graphic isnt enough to offload in apps that make use of a GPGPU.

Sorry, that PC could be upgraded with a much better graphic if you want to run new games but it would probably need to get a new PSU too.

2/10... Your rig is about three generations of hardware behind the current. Just scrap it and build something new. If you don't need that much storage, save the HDD from your old rig. Everything else should be bought new. Here's what I suggest for your price range:

GPU: Geforce GTX 560 Ti - Midrange, but definitely sufficient for high-res gaming for the next year or so. Will still do well for a few more years if you're not running them maxed.

CPU: Intel core i7 2500k - Affordable, great price/performance ratio, does well with mildly intensive workloads like games.

RAM: 4-8GB depending on what kind of work you'll be doing on it. 4GB should be sufficient for most games, but the prices right now are dirt cheap, so go with 8 if you want to future-proof it.

Motherboard: Asus P8Z68 V-PRO - It's the board I'm currently using with my 2600k. Works well, nice feature range, good build quality.

HDD: WD caviar black 2TB - Either use the one you already have or get a cheap, high capacity one like the Caviar black (I'm currenly using this in my main rig). Unless you want an SSD, in which case go for an OCZ Vertex 3.

PSU: Corsair AX750 - Reliable brand, fantastic efficiency, sufficient wattage for your components.

Case: Corsair Obsidian 600D - a seriously impressive case, great build quality, enough room for your components. Great airflow and gromets for hiding cables is also a plus.

Just a recommendation. If you specify your price range and desired performance, I'm sure we could find something more suitable.

Well, the first thing I would do is go to Newegg and see what's in your price range. I think the components I suggested will be fine, but I'd check the prices. It's somewhere in that range.
