Hi, I'm looking to build a computer soon and I want to get a fan controller for the fans but I have no idea how they work. Can I control the fans that came with the case with the controller or is its control restricted to fans I add on later?

I'm going to get this case, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129021, if it helps.

Thanks

That's the though, I don't know what brand fan controller has the best quality, nor do I know what to look for in a quality fan controller. How do fan controllers work? Does it plug into the motherboard and control the fans through the mobo? So all the fans need to be connected to the mobo to be accessible by the fan controller?

Thanks

Sunbeam, Zalman NZXT are all good brands, I personally have a Scythe Kaze Server which I love. You connect the fans you want to control directly to the controller, if you can use splitters to connect multiple fans to each fan control.
