Hi,

a friend of mine spilled some stuff (don't wanna bother you with the details - disgusting stuff) over my needforseat chair... bad news: It's impossible to get the smell out of it, so it's basically useless. Good news: He's gonna buy me a new one :D

My question is: Is there a chair you guys can recommend? I mean the needforseat was ok, but I've sat on better chairs on several LAN events so I'm gonna go for a new brand. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Honestly I use to have a typical office chair.. But then I went with a wobble chair.. http://www.amazon.com/Kore-Everyday-Office-Wobble-Chair/dp/B007UV7XMA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1430185322&sr=8-3&keywords=Wobble+chair.. Its a comfy stool that helps promote correct posture, and I honestly find my self being capable of sitting in this for far longer periods than a typical chair.

Unless you're talking about a floor chair, a "gaming" chair is essentially just a good office chair since you'll likely be sitting at a desk. Decent office chairs usually start at about $100 and range up to the $300-$500 range depending on design, adjustable features and material.

Thanks guys! Yeah I know that i could just go for a "normal" office chair, but I also like the flashy looks and color of these so called gaming chairs - can't help it :D

I'm thinking about either dxracer or akracing... does anyone of you have some personal experience with these brands?

I say no for "gaming" chairs becuase they're either crap and cost a lot or mediocre in quality and cost even more.

Just get yourself some decent office / manager chair.

I can recommend you getting a good padded arms so your elbows won't hurt after many hours of sitting.

Well if you're deciding between DXRACER and AKRACING... I'd go for DXRACER.

edit: check this one out, dunno if its fancy enough for you but I like the clean looks http://progamingchair.com/best-dxracer-chair-review/

i dont use crappy pc chairs anymore, i've converted into using my sofa recliner, its so soft and i don't get any back or shoulder pains any more. Even the highest end pc gaming chairs don't beat a nice well padded recliner. but you have to be willing to spend a 500+ on it. If your patient you can wait for things like this to go on sale. I got mine in sale 50% off on boxing day.

my back aches just looking at those so called "high end" gaming chairs you have posted here.

Just get a regular chair or inexpensive PC chair.. sit up right better for you, do not lean back that's not good for you.

I recently bought this chair to replace my old one. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/494218/Realspace-MBMC400-Microfiber-Managerial-Chair-Gray/

The sale ends tomorrow. I opted for fabric/microfiber because that cheapo-leather, pleather or whatever they call it nowadays started flaking off and getting everywhere. So far I find it really comfortable, only negative is that I feel like it is uneven, like I am sitting at a slight angle. That is probably just mine or maybe just because I am still used to my old craptastic chair. I see no real reason to get a "gaming" chair, just a marketing ploy to get you to shell out more money imho.

I would suggest going to a local office store or furniture shop and trying out numerous chairs. Just because you see one you like doesn't mean that it will fit you best.

Get a lazy boy-style recliner and put some heavy duty casters on it.

If you're actually interested in buying a chair, there are a ton of options in varying styles, colors, and price points. Just depends on what you want. Yes, a "gaming chair" is technically just a stylish office chair, but some people like getting them just to complete a nice gaming setup. Both PC and console gamers use them all the time.

There's a pretty good list of budget gaming chairs here - http://www.gamerwares.com/budget-gaming-chair/
