There was a grenade bug that cause the release to be delayed, and then FailPlanet's employees went home to sleep so there was no one to release the game :/FragMonkey09Sarcasm?
^^He's serious. Anyways, in the insurgency irc, the devs said they've finished compiling the installer. Now they're uploading it to fileplanet which will take approximately an hour and a half to two hours.generaltigerO great

Can you guys plz post some in game pics up or something?
Here is my mini review of the mod after an hour of play:
Graphics: 9 - They really did a great job with the source engine everying thing looks quite realistic.
Sound 7 - The sound is good, I quite like the distant sound effects but close up it's slightly lacking.
Gameplay 7 - I had quite a fun time the game has real potential, but it needs some serious balancing, namely the spawn system.
Stability 7 - Its a first beta so I gave it a 7 instead of 6 so i'll let it slide, the game has its bugs with sticking guns and movement.
Well the game isn't the Counter-Strike killer just yet, but I think this game shows some real potential. Aside from the few bugs I've encountered getting stuck and my gun sticking, the game runs real smooth on my 6800GT and the hit registry seems many times better than in counter-strike. This game can be quite overwhelming and confusing at first, it's in real need of a map (I haven't seen one anyway. The spawn system seems really awkward and many times its just way too easy to spawn camp. I haven't had enough comparing time but it seems the American guns are quite a bit more accurate than with the insurgents. This game isn't without its problems but despite the negative things i've mentioned, I still had a real blast within the first hour i've played this mod. I think with a couple patches fixing said problems, Insurgency could quite well become the next popular mod to play.
Here's my impressions of the mod so far:
The only problems I see with the game are currently performance issues(It eats my 7600GT alive) and some extra info so that people actually know what they're supposed to do next. My team had practically no idea on which objective we were supposed to take on and we only found it by chance. Some sort of map or a more informative HUD at the top would be a nice improvement. The final thing I think they need to work on is the whole player classes system. Right now you enter a game and there's a list of players and if you see a spot called empty you can enter the game with the class beside it. IT would be a whole lot better if the mod team put in a page that allows you to choose your class and beside each class option it there is something that says how many player slots are available for the given class.
Small improvements include letting the player know when they've gone up in rank and limiting the cell commander and commander classes to higher ranking players. If players are the same rank then the it goes by player score. One last thing that I would really like to see implemented into the mod is a feature for fireteams. 3-5 man fire teams with the ability for their player icons to appear in your HUD at the top would really help the game become more team oriented, while at the same time letting players co-ordinate attacks, whether it be flanking, defending, or capturing, a whole lot better than before. If possible theyshould also put in the ability for VOIP where only your fireteam can hear you.
All in all, the mod is really good and easily contends with top HL2 mods like dystopia for the HL2 mod crown. The graphics are also outstanding and is one of the best looking HL2 mods I've seen.(Perhaps even the best) the game is extremely intense and the sounds whther it be the in-game music or bullets whizzing by your head are excellent. The fact that you are able to actually achieve an objective or kill an enemy is feels very rewarding, considering the games difficulty. Hopefully they'll be able to make some more great strides in their next beta release.
