400 if I recall correctly.

Can you change the DPI on your mouse? 400 is a little slow for some games.
Anyway My mouse can switch DPI so it can go from 600 to 3600.

I remember reading that there's a piece of software for my mouse that allows me to change the DPI on the fly, but I never installed it. With mouse acceleration disabled, I'm pretty comfortable with the mouse speed at it's default settings, though I have lowered it to the fourth speed setting recently (in Windows mouse settings) to keep the mouse speed consistent in games that don't have in-game mouse settings.
Not really understanding the question. DPI setting helps control speed and acceleration. So higher DPI does not really warrant bragging rights. Mine supports up to 5700, but that is way too fast, even on my 52" hdtv. And I would argue setting a DPI too high for your screen size would make it less precise, less controllable.
The real power of a mouse's precision is polling rate. Mine is set at 250 samples per second. It goes up to 1000.
5600dpi Razer Precision 3.5G Laser Sensor. Using razer naga epic cuz i am mostly focused to MMO RPG and RTS genre
Is using on the fly sensetivity allowed in tournaments? My g500 can do it but I have never used it. I suppose it could be good for lowering it when the enemy was further away.
 Obviously those in the industry of creating mice (such as Razor) are cranking out high-DPI mice and then advertise the fact to make them seem better than mice with slightly less DPI, when in reality there's probably not much advantage of having a mouse with 6000DPI over a mouse that has only 2000.[QUOTE="Socijalisticka"]
dpi is a marketing gimmick.

Logitech MX 518 with 1800 dpi. I don't see the need for more.the_ChEeSe_mAn2Same mouse, and I was about to google the DPI.

Uh, you don't need more than 400.[QUOTE="Socijalisticka"]

400 DPI works fine for me :?. I guess it depends on the mouse.
 Yeah I used to think that my old HP mouse was fine. I played over 500 hours of counter-strike without a gaming mouse, and as soon as I started using this Razer Deathadder I felt the difference. Idk weather its the laser or the dpi but its a lot better that just a standard mouse.[QUOTE="Socijalisticka"]

i.e. placebo and/or post-purchase rationalization of an overpriced mouse.

Gaming mice certainly provide a huge advantage over non-gaming mice.[QUOTE="Mcspanky37"][QUOTE="Lox_Cropek"]:question:Obviously those in the industry of creating mice (such as Razor) are cranking out high-DPI mice and then advertise the fact to make them seem better than mice with slightly less DPI, when in reality there's probably not much advantage of having a mouse with 6000DPI over a mouse that has only 2000. Most CS prozors use low dpi settings don't they?

Uh, you don't need more than 400. how can you use only 400 lol thats so slow, almost impossible to play FPS's with(or atleast play well) On the contrary, most top-end Quake players use around 400 DPI with a gigantic mouse pad. It's worth it for the increased precision.[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"][QUOTE="Mcspanky37"] Obviously those in the industry of creating mice (such as Razor) are cranking out high-DPI mice and then advertise the fact to make them seem better than mice with slightly less DPI, when in reality there's probably not much advantage of having a mouse with 6000DPI over a mouse that has only 2000.TH1Sx1SxSPARTA
