i am getting ready to attempt to slim my huge PC down into a small tower. I just need to make sure everything i have now will work. I kno i will need to geta new motherboard.

The motherboard i have now is the Asus P8P67....i need to obtain a micro motherboard that will take a full size video card and is compatable with an intel processor.

the case i have been considering is

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811553011

what do you guys think?

For a decently priced case I recommend this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352009 There may be better options but they will also cost more. As far as motherboard goes (I'm assuming you have an LGA 1155 Intel processor) this motherboard should do the trick: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157306 Also keep in mind that changing motherboards will almost certainly guarantee that you will need to reinstall Windows, so take the necessary steps of backing up data and making a note of your installed programs before doing so.

Would you consider buying a MITX Mobo and case? if so, i recomend the BitFenix Prodigy. It's a really nice case, with pretty good space inside.

sorry for the late response, but the case I have now is a thermaltake mid tower case...i think it is too big i feel like i could slim everything thing i have down into a much smaller tower. Are there any towers that siginificantly smaller than the regular mid size tower that will still fit a full size motherboard?

I've actually been researching this myself and I've only been able to find a handful: LIAN LI PC-A05FNBCooler Master Elite 361 Are the two best (in my opinion) that I've been able to find. Note that longer and non-modular power supplies, as well as longer DVD drives can make building a system with full-size components into these cases a real pain in the ass.

Probably about 60% the height and 80% the depth, you're not gonna be able to go too much smaller and still fit full-size components, they pretty much push the limits.

This one might be slightly bigger than the ones I posted, but it will be much easier to work in and have superior cooling performance.

I read Anandtech's review of that case, they didn't seem to think very highly of it. I feel that the A05FNB that I linked earlier is laid out better and can offer superior cooling especially if you install the optional top fan.

NzXT Source 210 It even fits Extended ATX boards, like the ROG board above.
