Everytime I try to install it a message comes up when it gets to saying 'A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'E:\Base\TSData\Res\Sims3D\Sims07.packag... from the media. Do you want to retrey to copy the file, or cancel the installation?'' so I hit retrey but the same thing pops up so I hit retrey but it does it over and over. I cant return the CD, I bought it a few months ago. What should I do? Is this because I have windows vista?

I played Sims2 on Vista all the time, works great for me, I have Vista on both desktop and laptop and worked great on both as well.... I think you should close the"a problem occurred"(make sure leave the game disc in side the pc the way it is). ...now click"start", then click on"computer", you should see "the Sims2" icon, click right botton on mouse, choose "open" - see if that helps.

Also, make sure update your Vista first.... read the Sims2 instruction book, it tells you on the 2nd page.
