I have a hd 5450 xfx low profile card for one of my collegues computers, this needs to be fitted.

However, the low profile bracket only has the hdmi and dvi connector and i think the vga will detach from the card itself.

Would dual screen work if i use hdmi->dvi connector for monitor one and dvi->vga for monitor two ?

Any help is appreciated. Using extended desktop.

Thanks :)

Monitor 1 - hdmi->dvi

Monitor 2- dvi->vga

i see no reason why not, but dont expect to use hydravision or eyefinity

you could however run dual monitors

i actually for a time had a similar setup. i have hdmi to tv then dvi -> vga on my 19"

Thanks :) I thought it would, but you know what its like in the IT world. All the monitors have terrible connectivity because its a office. If they had asked me before hand to spec out a monitor, it may have helped but we we do all our dealings through HP. so bog standard monitors all round. Anyhow, thought i would come back here since i aint posted in months.
