Half Life 2 Episode 2 Help!

Ok! I Got The Orange Box As A Gift Yesterday.So I Decided To Install Half Life 2 Epidsode 2 (I'v Played And Finshed Half Life 2 And Episode 1).In The Begining The Game Went Smoothly.After a Couple Minutes Of game Play I Come To The Place Where Alyx Contacts Her Dad for The 1st time.They Starts Talking About The Citadel Super Portal,then the Professor Guy Says "I Bet It's The Combine Portal......... the Game crashers.There is a error report it dissapears before even i can read it soo plz help if If U Can! :cry:

start-> right click my computer-> manage-> event viewer-> system

It may be a corrupted file. Did you have any drop outs or errors during the download/installation process? You can try downloading a savegame that's just past the part you're talking about to see if you can continue playing.

Yeah, that definately sounds like a corrupt file to me.

Reinstallation Didnt Work :cry: I Really Want To Play It plzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

try deleting it and re-installing in from steam.

If that doesnt work call the Valve or Steam tech guys and see if they can help you.

Try move your camera to the ground or elsewhere, it might sound wierd but it sometime does work because it prevent the game from loading the textures where it's corrupted or missed.

HL2 kept crashing for me and I went to my windows firewall and made an exception for steam and then it worked. IDK why it did, but maybe that will work for you?
