Lot's of articles going around today with info on the pc version (prepurchased, for me and my wife). I have to say, I'm VERY impressed with the visuals. I didn't think the game would look that good, especially on pc.

What do you guys think? Are you happy it isn't just a straight up port? I'm carefully optimistic Rockstar put together a great package for us with the year and a half since the game first went gold! My only fear is they'll lock it @60hz, rather than letting me rise above.

I'm very excited, it looks excellent to the point where I don't think it will need mods to spice it up. Also sure it will run great, the people parroting this non-existant "track record" of poor ports haven't played all the GTA games on PC on their launches

After all this delaying BS and heists being broken, etc. I'm just gonna wait on some reviews and see what everyone has to say about it.

I'm very excited, probably too excited for a man of my age.

They were demoing it on 5930k, 980 sli so I'm assuming that's confirmation of an SLI profile?

@klunt_bumskrint: They always BS so bad on requirements.. and it's recommended: i5 / 8350 + GTX 660 / 7870. I'm pretty sure 5930K + (even a single) 780 will get the job done quiet well.

What?????

GTA3 and GTA4 were abysmal ports at launch.

GTA3 was fixed with a few patches down the track, GTA4 still runs like a dog.

Hopefully GTA5 runs better.

I remember previews running GTA3 and GTA4 no problems on PC, and look how they turned out....

I'm pretty hopeful GTA5 will be different or else it really will be the last nail on the coffin for Rockstar.

I'm just waiting for the mewtwo smashbros patch on the 15th...

The game looks pretty fun, I'll get it if it runs well and doesn't have a 60fps cap.

@Bikouchu35: midnight launch for pc would be pointless because nobody buys pc games like that.

Everyone who is buying it will have it preloaded ready for release time

No, I haven't played it either. I was holding out for the PC version when the game was first announced. (or atleast a next gen console version)

I always thought the ps3/xbox360 versions of the game were a waste, basically allowing Rockstar to profit off of peoples impatience. I watched a close friend play it on ps3 here, and there, and I was like yep.... I am holding out for the better version.

So far, it looks like I made the right decision, and seems patience has a sweeter reward in this instance.

My gf, and I both have it preloaded on each of our rigs. Which should EASILY max this game @1080p @60fps.

lol...I was like you first off, but I don't mind double dipping for anything Rockstar makes. There are a few companies that can just take my money. Rockstar is also one of the few companies to do dlc right (zombie dlc in RDR...that was an AMAZING $15 spent. It was like a new game)

I haven't played any of the GTA games yet. I'm not a big fan of third-person view games. The only reason why I'm interested in GTA V is because of the first-person view.

I bought a 360 just for GTA V. Well, GTA V and Forza Horizon but, mostly for GTA V. Haven't played it for a while, though. The low resolution, lack of AA and frequent frame-rate dips make it a very uncomfortable experience.

I played GTA IV on my buddy's 360 before that came to PC....it was so horrible of an experience. Even the unpatched out-of-the-box messy port on PC was better than the console experience.

Game looks great on the PC, but I cannot double dip on games for some reason... I already played and beat the game on PS3. I pre-ordered MKX.

Too bad it's useless. I'm getting the same frame rate Single GPU than I do Tri-GPU. I thought I was running into vRAM issues but no, the game isn't using all the GPUs effectively. Below 40% usage on all three.

Tried using Max Payne 3 profile. Doesn't work.. Same stuff but with flickering.

Tried using Optimized 1x1 and AFR rendering and it runs MUCH better but game DirectX3D crashes after 20 seconds. >.>

Anyone know how well SLI is scaling? like actualy scaling. No fanboy made up numbers.

Nevermind. Looks like SLI scaling is also around the same level.

Was about to go on a Anti-AMD spree but k.
