i think they just felt like flooding a few alliance and horde settlements for kicks.. thas what i think they did. cataclysm was a way of using up the small scraps of lore wow had self generated into a few more months or even another year for the mmo. when they bin this game the better we will all be.. put an old & sickly dog out of its msiery says I!
