Games permanantly on your hard drive

what are the games that have been installed on your hard drive for a long time, and you have no plans of uninstalling in the near future?

for me it would be morrowind, oblivion, battlefield 1942 + exp. packs, call of duty 1, half life 2 plus exp. packs.

Currently I have Half-Life 2 and both episonde, CSS, The Longest Journey + Dreamfall (bought both today), Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, Psychonauts, Vampire: The Masquerade, The Witcher, World In Conflict, Crysis, Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Bioshock installed on my computer. However, I don't usually uninstall games unless I'm running out of disk space, so most of them haven't been touched in weeks and maybe months. That's every game I've played on this PC since I built it in November.

Games that are never not on my hard disk since I first installed them:

System Shock 2

Ultimate Doom

Doom 2

Final Doom

Dawn of War

My Steam folder (mostly just Source games)

Quake 2 (don't actually play it these days, but knowing it's there makes me feel.... safer)

Worms Armageddon

Crysis

yea, i'm the same, except lately games are getting bigger and i'm having to do some "spring cleaning" it seems i never have much more than 5 or 6 free gigs of hd space on my comp right now.

My computer crashed 2 weeks ago so it got rid of all the games im not playing =(

I had bf2142, eve online and bf1942 as destop icons but was always to lazy to deleate

some people on here have some BIG hard drives...

i tend to remove a game once i've played it,. though sometimes i leave it for a bit to make sure i don't want to go back to various saves and play a bit of it again.

at the moment i've got:

- star trek EF1, because i play it with the TOS mods

- SS2, which i'm playing, but very slowly

- COD1, which i'm playing a lot

- Stalker, which is simply still there because i enjoyed it so much and need to know i can go back there if i need to :oops:

well, I have now ( swat 4 gold edition ) (the sims 2 + exp packs )

when I finished ( far cry ) (deus-ex ) (judge dredd) (delta force BHD )(half life) i uninstalled them...

i will install (crysis) in this week

Apart from CSS, this is how the following games fared on my hard drive -

COD4 - Replayed about 4 times, then retired.

Crysis - Played once and delivered to the trash can.

Assassin's Creed - Played once and now sleeps on my shelf.

FEAR+EP+PM - Played over once and is lost to the shadows.

Rainbow Six Vegas(1&2) - Finished once and is waiting reinstallation in the near future.

TimeShift - Finished one mission and is burned alive.

GTA:SA - Barely finished and is flushed out.

Thief 3- Seriously don't know where it went. Maybe my hard drive ate it.

Prince of Persia(1,2,3) - Replayed twice and was replaced by Assassin's Creed.

Gears of War - Played over once. Also awaiting reinstallation.

MOHPA - Finished 3 times and then captured by the enemy.

NFSMW - Finished twice and lost the pink slip to Blacklist #0.

etc. etc. etc.

Oblivion for me.

I don't usually leave any games installed that I'm not playing unless it is one I haven't finished yet. On my Windows 98 machine I do leave Thief: The Dark Project installed all the time. It is one of the few games I always go back to.thanatose

Ah Thief. That's a great game. I used to have Thief 1 & 2 always installed. Then I got a new computer, so now I just have Thief 3 installed all the time.

Deus Ex and System Shock 2 :)

Classics, both of them.

I've also had Oblivion for quite some time now. And BioShock, too. Weird - I just stopped playing BioShock halfway through the game, and now it's just sitting there. Might be a good idea to start playing again, as I already don't remember parts of the story.

Oblivion. On my other computer I have had Quest for Glory 1-4 installed for the last 10 years at the least.

Don't even think about buying Mass Effect than, you'll only be able to upgrade twice after you install the game initially, then you'll have no game left. They are only allowing 3 hardware changes, after that they expect PC Gamers to rebuy the game. Just friggin Brilliant.

Unless of course you don't plan on upgrading ever again..

my problem is that my hard drive is only 145 gigs. it seemed so big when i got it, but now it seems so small....

anyways, i forgot about stalker, thats been on my hard drive since i installed it, and i still play it as well. not all the time, but i will consistently go back every couple of months or so and play it heavlily when i'm bored of my other games. i can't friggen wait ti'll clear sky.

mohpa was installed for a long time, it was the first game i installed on the computer i have now, and i finally had to uninstall it a few weeks ago when i desperatley needed space. i'd beaten it like 3 or 4 times before then though, great game, truly underrated.

I have:

Cod4, Crysis, CS Source and Dod Source, Company of Heroes, Rome Total War, and Kotor. I think that's it. Right now I'm playing Rome, CS, and Cod 4.

Quake 3, Quake 4 Have been on my PC since 2006, have about 15-20 gigs of demos, which i really should go through and sort out.

USually a racing game too, but it verys to what mood im in.

(ex. NFSMW, MFSU2. MFSC, TMN/F, etc)

Don't have/play PC games that much but...

Diablo 2 always when reinstalling Windows that will be added

Starcraft, PoP Sands of Time, CoD1, Half Life Day of Defeat will stay on whenever I install them to play. Probably Silent Hill 2 and 3 too.
