A year from now is around the corner? you could get 10 months of enjoyment out of this, and looking past brand, maybe you would enjoy this more?why am I having a hard time getting excited for this? Cant see myself playing it when the new star wars mmo is around the corner.

My PC runs Crysis on high @1680 x1050 w/ no AA
According to the benchmark - FF XIV will be unplayable. Hmm - Should I take $500 to upgrade my processor (dual core @2,8GHz) and GPU (9800GT), so I can play one game (FFXIV)?
'
Or should I take that money and buy 15 other games that will run fine on my PC?
'
Hmm - that's a tough one.
Ignore that benchmark, its absolutely useless :PMy PC runs Crysis on high @1680 x1050 w/ no AA

The benchmark runs in a window which greatly degrades your system performance. My PC runs Crysis on high @1680 x1050 w/ no AA

I like Bioware, I really do, but I can't see this mmo going anywhere. "200 hours worth of content, if you play multiple classes" ? I got that out of a month of WoW, and was nowhere near finished. I'm not saying it looks like crap, but I could see myself REALLY quickly doing everything there is to do with it, and then just being... done.
FF XIV on the other hand has some serious potential. If they fix the FF XI control scheme. The developers have already confirmed that they will eventually remove the level cap for job skills so... you basically have no limit to how powerful you can become. That's awesome. Thats like Ultima Online on crack.
