Does star citizen ever go on sale?.

I no if you buy it now or pledge as it called and buy the starter package that you get the full star citizen and SQ42 when complete. At the moment its $45 (£43.80p) I was just wondering if this ever goes on sale. When the game released I be prepared to pay full price but now I would only get it if it £25 or less. Just wondering if it been on sale in the past.

I think they offered some limited number of 30 dollar starter packs during the anniversary sale but outside of a special event like that no, you won't find it on sale.

It'll never be finished, must less go on sale. :-)

@skipper847: I'm not supporting on buying unfinished products, but I don't mind paying full 60$ if the game will be good when it's finished.

I'm actually deciding which package to buy. The Aurora or mustang alpha. Deciding to wait till Christmas day to buy it. At least you do get the full game when its released and it is chris Roberts which I liked all his wing commander games.

You choose between 2 ships - whichever fits your gameplay style?

Yeah gotta buy the right ship, you'll have a hard time trading good in a mustang and the aurora ain't exactly a fighter but does have guns and can be done. It's a game where you can buy the cheapest ship and with enough work and skill you'll own a fleet sooner than..... well me.

And to stay on topic the game is slated for a 2017 release so it will release but as with any game it may be delayed and yes yes it's been in development since 2013 but that was "getting off the ground" development for a brand new IP not reusing assets or engines and Gran Tourismo 5 took 5 years for somethings that 80% of the cars were reused and teams and processes already in place and that fact alone is months if not years of work already completed.

People need to lose the shallow mindset of how games are developed before dissing or bashing a company or game.

I was about to buy it but cant get past the address form. I live in the UK and it keeps saying I have to put state or province but we don't have them. I tried county but that don't work?. Any ideas?.

Try to change the site somehow to UK or Europe?

Can't you just write random stuff there or pick anything in the list they give you?

I bought a key on Kinguin for $5. It was some special AMD key and it came with an AMD ship.

If you pledge now to a game package SQ42 is in a separate package or you can buy a bundle pack or separate.

They have ship sales fairly often, but it's not what you might think of as a "game sale" in the common sense like 50% off so you get it for 29.99 or something.
