Ok, Deus Ex Human Revolution has caught my attention and I've decided I want to give it a try. Now, I can get one for only €16,00, but there is also the augmented edition which sells for €50,00. What is the difference between the two and which one do you guys think I should get?

Normal version, DE: HR AE has nothing "valuable", not 34€ at least and you can get the extra "irrelevant" mission in of of those two cheap DLCs, don't remember which one, I think it was the explosive pack.

Anyway, make sure you also get the Missing Link, it's great and it also covers a section from the 2nd half of the game.

The PC augmented edition were really REALLY not worth it, unless you wanted the music(quite good tho)^^

I would just buy the standard edition, it is a good and a long game, you could maybe want to look up some of the smaller dlc to accompany it, there is a weapons pack, and a single mission with loose ties to the origonal DE, and there is the missing link, which gave nothing worthwhile.

Basicly, the base game, had good pacing, and most kinds of guns you could wish for, so overall there were very little that could be added to the game.

Get the basic edition, it is completely awesome, a very good game, and a fan favorite. It is not perfect, but it feels like a true DE game (about the highest praise you can give any game of that genre).

Edit: Haha, odd to have two posters with such a different view on the missing link :S maybe it is a taste thing, read up on that one, TC since the rest I wrote pretty much echoed what the poster above me said.

Is DE: Human Revolution worth £4 (about $6), my mate has a spare code from when he bought a graphics card and is offering me it.

I haven't played the game yet, but 4 pounds sounds reasonable. How can you go wrong with a price like that!? Even if it is total crap, it's not like you've wasted tons of money on it.

I've just ordered the normal edition and it will probably ship in the day after tomorrow, which is a good thing 'cause my GF is going to her family for the weekend and I've got a couple of hours to spare :D

Have you ever tried the first game? I would buy that instead If you must buy this new one then get the cheapest version because I don't think its worth $50.

Normal. I got the AE for a good price on release, but what it offers isn't anything substantial.
