Well, here's the situation, My Specs are as follows:

Gigabyte P35-DQ6 Mobo
Intel E6750 2.66GHZ/4MB L2 Cache/1333FSB
2x1024MB Kingston DDR2
500GB SATA WD Harddisk
eVGA 8800GTX 768MB
Case Gigabyte 3D Aurora Thermalsolution
Powersupply Thermaltake TR2-550W
LG 19" Widescreen Monitor L194wt-bf

as u all can see , my specs are Higher than the recommended requirments ... and as far as i read from online forums that people with lower specs such as E6600 and 8800 GTS 320MB are maxxing out this game with about 25-30 FPS or maybe more ,
I was astonished to get 15 FPS when i first tried the game with Very High Settings and AA on 1440X900 Res. It says that the FPS were 15, But the game was Awesome looking and Performing, No Lags ... No Graphical Corruption, it was just smooth and great , I thought it might be a Driver Problem so i DLed nVidia's Beta Driver 169.04 but that just made things go worse , same FPS but the game went Slow , Laggy and unstable ,,, unlike what it was with the old Driver ..... I'm on Vista 32-Bit OS

Thank You for your patience and any help Would Be appreciated !!

Play on high. There's no problem. You just put the settings too high. Turn off AA. Put all graphic settings to High and it should be fine.

Few people can max it out. No one can max it out with AA.

Try setting everything to low settings then move them up until you hit that sweet spot. I never use AA except on older games as I can hardly tell the difference, plus I'd rather have high texture detail than AA anyway. Another thing to use is driver sweeper. You can find it at guru3d.com. It's just like driver cleaner pro except it's free. I like alternate drivers like DNA force better than nvidias. I always use the performance profile when installing as you get better FPS.

you sound like you are getting about right performance. the real game should run on very high for you with the better optimization. just wait the 2 weeks or so and then worry about it if you still cant run it

Well, when i turned AA Off, with everything still VERY HIGH it took me up to 30-35 FPS .

Besides, that Gamespot Review about Crysis, they're getting 15 FPS too when using Vista on VERY HIGH Settings with AA too.

So i guess that I'm okay guys, iam not worried anymore, cuz when i restarted my PC that slow downs and laggy performance with the 169.04 Disappeared , so its fine now even at 15FPS with 4x AA and VERY HIGH settings, its smooth, no lags, fast, and enjoyable :D ... thank you all for ur help, i appreciate it :) !

You better be joking about the part with 8800GTS 320MBs maxing it out. I play it on High/Medium on DX 9 with around 25 FPS. That isn't exactly maxing it out.

well, at high (optimal) settings, I get 18-25 FPS and with very high, I get the same FPS. I put it to medium and got not much of a improvement. I hope the retail version is a little better, but im ok with how it runs. Those FPS are with FRAPS, maybe without it I get higher? but my FPS are playable usually.

Also, it seems that if I play for a while, the FPS and game as a whole runs smoother? whatever.

Nobody is maxing out this game on an 8800 GTS. I have a GTS, and I get 30fps with high settings and no AA @ 1280 x 720.

I think you should be able to play on very high settings with your PC. Too bad that no one can max the game on current hardware. I've read somewhere that they enabled the ultra high settings in the demo through some console commands but that the game was unplayable.

I actually have the game maxed with all settings and highest AA, and the game runs fine for me.

ASUS SLI-Deluxe Mobo
2GB RAM
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS in 768MB
AMD Athlon X2 4200+

I even edited my files to allow Very High settings to be displayed. Game still runs great, and everything's stock. No OCing here.

Someone is fulla ****, there is no 8800gts 768mb, even if you had a 8800 ultra and a 4200 (which is rubbish), you wouldnt be able to max all settings with MAX AA!!! .... that would give you like 5 fps.

Step 1: turn AA off, it doesnt make a difference imo.

Step 2: turn post processing to medium

Click apply, load a game, and have at it!

Crysis runs well, you just gotta fiddle with the settings a bit. AA and post processing are the two most wasteful settings imo. I dont miss them, and I have everything else set to very high (on XP) with C2D 6400, 2GB memory, and an 8800GTS 320MB.

If you need more increases in performance, try toning down the water a bit. Ive been told shadows are actually fairly well optmized in this game and after trying it with shadows on low and very high I didnt notcie any difference.

Intel CoreTM2 Duo E6850 (2 X 3.00GHz) 1333MHz 4GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR DDR2 1066MHz ASUS P5N32-E SLI+ 2 x 500GB SATA II 16MB CACHE (7200rpm) SLi - 2x 768MB GEFORCE 8800GTX PCI Express

Runs like a dream on very high although unless theres a revised version of the demo out it crashes when I put FSAA on.

Well, I actually do run the game on very high on DX9(with the tweak), with a 8800 GTS 320 MB, @ 1280x1024, no AA, with about a 20 fps avg. I was happy at 30 frames with med-high settings, but ever since I just decided to check out how the game looks at very high, I simply can't go back. :P

eh... but still

The min specs are getting higher and higher with everygame, XP is going to be phased out soon, i mean, im running a 2.8GHZ and 128MB graphics, but it still looks horrible.

Thats why consoles are better, no minimum specs XD

i think he meant 8800 GTX but its a typing mistake , and now am maxxing all settigs with 4x AA !! :D , getting from 15 to 20 FPS ... no slowing down no lagging, runs like a charm :) !
