i went to try to play a dvd and got the message below. my computer could play DVD's a few days ago but it can't now (compaq presario s6300nx with a built in video card). i checked the updates i installed recently but none of them had anything to do with my video card or dvd drive. i used windows help which told me i may have a problem with my dvd decoder. i have no idea what went wrong. any help?

It could be something in the software. If you probably want a quick fix, you could try downloading VLC.

VLC works. another weird thing is happening though, my computer isn't even recognizing the DVD everytime i put it in (i go to my computer and it isn't there and VLC won't find it). i have to eject it and put it back in a few times to get it to work. maybe there's an issue with my drive?
