Any idea what is causing me to get this message (and no population of the server list) when I try to look up online matches? It works fine on my laptop, but on my desktop I get that mesage.... is there some port I need to enable or something?
No it was working fine for me this morning, and now all of the sudden I'm getting the same issue as Staryoshi87.....I don't know what's going on. They seem to be having alot of MP issues, but damn it sure is fun!
unfortunately that didn't work for me. for my port i have a different number and can't change it. i went through with the test and it says everything is successful. i try to load up my server list and still have the same problem as others described as well. any other takers? my game was working perfectly, then i disconnected from a server, went to refresh the list for a new one, and dont get the list coming up. at least i'm not the only one i guess.

plus i tried firewall and i upadated the game with punkbuster on top of that still no server list with waitting for master server to respond
I had this problem a few times which kept coming and going. Then it came and wouldn't go away. Try going back to the firewall issue, but bear in mind it might not be WINDOWS firewall. I have Bt Netprotect Plus which is part of McAfee and installed itself, but NortonAntiVirus and other such programs will probably all have Firewalls. Check which of these programs are turned on, and make sure that Cod 4 (specifically Cod 4 - Iwmp/3 for me) is not blocked, and try adding it to the exceptions list. Best of luck to all.
This is an old thread but idk i get this problem to sometimes it works other times it doesn't i personally use xfire's server browser for this game to join servers and add the ones i like to my favorites as the in-game one is buggy.
this thread was necro'd like 4 times. thats pretty badass. and to be honest, this is happening to me as of late. but after i verify my keycode, the servers show up again. hope this helps everyone.

Probably the first or second thing that pops in when people do a google search sadly no fix besides relying on a 3rd party server browser.
Umm why? No matter how old the thread is, this is still relevant. I had to download someone's servercache.dat file to get the server list working, and it still screws up EVERY TIME I play the Star Wars mod.
