i think it's depends on gamers favourite...

I like COD but Battlefield has a bigger player capacity, for PC this is much better. My bet Bad Company 2 has more to offer in terms of multiplayer.
I have my doubts with Bad Company 2 with being the better game. When you get pass the controversy MW2 is a fantastic game developed by really incredible talents from IW. BC2 does look very interesting from the feeds I've seen, but I still prefer a game like BF2 for the scale, and of course piloting Jets.
[QUOTE="Dr_Brocoli"]kind of obvious. MW2 is a boatfull of fail.chicack
can you tell me why? cause i think it's a great game and many gamers waiting for it? so you prefer Bad Company 2?
Living under a rock? No dedicated servers in COD MW2, no mod capability, 9v9 player limit, no lean, 4-5 hour only single player, $60 price tag. Most PC gamers, particularly those in competitive clans, are boycotting the game outright.I have my doubts with Bad Company 2 with being the better game. i don't know mate..... p2p is definitely effing bad news and i wouldn't call it a "controversy".
BC2 has my vote, in this case.
even if IW wouldn't have failed so bad with MW2, i'd still say Battlefield. i've always liked BF more. vehicles, big maps and teamplay tactics. some thinking involved about how to approach different situations.
COD is more about shooting faster than your opponent.
edit: are there really jets in BC2? i thought there were just choppers

Speaking purely based on the game. Even without Dedicated servers and custom content, it still is essentially Modern Warfare 2. If someone can mod in Jets for BC2 then marvelous due to it will take a lot of strength from the mod community to make me feel it's a better game entirely.

Have you been living under a rock? Search the forums using "MW2" and you should find dozens of threads explaining in detail as to why. That sums up what I think as well.I like COD but Battlefield has a bigger player capacity, for PC this is much better. Its funny how everyone is bashing the 9v9. I was actually playing CoD4 yesterday on a server with only 6 players (3v3) we were pretty much working as squads and stuck close together, it was still really fun and intense.
MW2 is a pile of trash, any PC gamer honestly considering buying it do us all a favor and go become a console gamer.
Since MW2 is a direct console port that takes all the great things about PC gaming out of it you should be right at home on xbox live without the frustrating complicated server search or the confusing free community content.

Yes, DICE already stated it would be. They used the whole MW2 debacle to capitalize on that.is bfbc2 going to have dedicated servers? if so then yes, if not then neither, mw2 will be so terrible online since it's p2p even on pc T_T

If someone can mod in Jets for BC2 then marvelous due to it will take a lot of strength from the mod community to make me feel it's a better game entirely.Jets were super unrealistic in Battlefield 2 and insanely overpowered. I'd prefer just helicopters and a squad ability to call in different types of airstrikes (napalm, anti-tank, anti-air, etc.). If they made jets more of a challenge to fly (stalls, land to reload, no easy mode boxes showing you were everyone is, etc.) I wouldn't mind their return. At least it'd take some skill to learn and fly.OoSuperMarioO
And a multiplayer PC FPS without dedicated servers is bound to fail. In terms of multiplayer, the battlefield series surely trumps Call of Campfest.

Unrealistic, but satisfying nevertheless. I prefer piloting Jets with incredible speeds, utility and maneuvers far more than a boring Helicopter in the air, lol...Jets were super unrealistic in Battlefield 2 and insanely overpowered. Supermario Trust me, it's not satisfying being on the other end... Especially since there's no anti-air infantry weapon (unrealistic) and there's no effective anti-air emplacement, which are actually "bomb me here" signs.

Air combat was the selling point for me to purchase BF2 and it was indeed very gratifying.[QUOTE="Supermario"]Unrealistic, but satisfying nevertheless. lol... With Game Engines today, if Dice can provide sonic booms ingame with accurate audio feedback for Jets then I'll buy 3 copies of the game and capture a shot on my desk to prove. This should blow your jets out of the sky. Good 'ol Humvee Avenger.

The many different varieties of combat for BF2 is what makes it a unique FPS for me. Hardly having any Air combat for BC2 is really painful for me. Really hoping Dice provides information for Battlefield 3 much sooner.

I'm told Arma 2 is rough in terms of performance bud.People aren't bashing 9v9 gameplay, they are bashing the 9v9 limmit and the loss of controls over setting up games. With a 32x32 limmit, you can always set the game to 9v9 if you'd like. You can't play 32v32 when the game is limmited to 9v9. For the PC, this is a step backwards. Its funny how everyone is bashing the 9v9. Not on my PC... (Specs: Phenom 2 Quad 3.4 Ghz, GTS 250, 4 Gb RAM...)
My CPU is pretty good, and that's what the game uses most. I would recommend you try the demo; its a great game. I imagine you would enjoy the editor. You could make yourself some pretty intense jet combat sequences...

After playing the first Bad Company, definetly BC2. It goes even higher above Modern Warfare 2 when you count everything Infinity Ward took out of it.
