I like COD but Battlefield has a bigger player capacity, for PC this is much better. My bet Bad Company 2 has more to offer in terms of multiplayer.

I have my doubts with Bad Company 2 with being the better game. When you get pass the controversy MW2 is a fantastic game developed by really incredible talents from IW. BC2 does look very interesting from the feeds I've seen, but I still prefer a game like BF2 for the scale, and of course piloting Jets.

Living under a rock? No dedicated servers in COD MW2, no mod capability, 9v9 player limit, no lean, 4-5 hour only single player, $60 price tag. Most PC gamers, particularly those in competitive clans, are boycotting the game outright.

BC2 has my vote, in this case.

even if IW wouldn't have failed so bad with MW2, i'd still say Battlefield. i've always liked BF more. vehicles, big maps and teamplay tactics. some thinking involved about how to approach different situations.

COD is more about shooting faster than your opponent.

edit: are there really jets in BC2? i thought there were just choppers

Speaking purely based on the game. Even without Dedicated servers and custom content, it still is essentially Modern Warfare 2. If someone can mod in Jets for BC2 then marvelous due to it will take a lot of strength from the mod community to make me feel it's a better game entirely.

BF BC2 WILL have superior online. MW2 has a 9vs9 cap on players where BF BC2 is said to support at least 32 (16vs16) players. plus all the vehicles and the gameplay looks WAY better. I'm willing to bet that BC 2's campaign will be longer too.

MW2 is a pile of trash, any PC gamer honestly considering buying it do us all a favor and go become a console gamer.

Since MW2 is a direct console port that takes all the great things about PC gaming out of it you should be right at home on xbox live without the frustrating complicated server search or the confusing free community content.

Yes, DICE already stated it would be. They used the whole MW2 debacle to capitalize on that.

Jets were super unrealistic in Battlefield 2 and insanely overpowered. I'd prefer just helicopters and a squad ability to call in different types of airstrikes (napalm, anti-tank, anti-air, etc.). If they made jets more of a challenge to fly (stalls, land to reload, no easy mode boxes showing you were everyone is, etc.) I wouldn't mind their return. At least it'd take some skill to learn and fly.

And a multiplayer PC FPS without dedicated servers is bound to fail. In terms of multiplayer, the battlefield series surely trumps Call of Campfest.

[QUOTE="polarwrath11"]OMG chill out MW2 haters, reason being: a) No lean? Wow no lean? I am so happy about this. You're referring to leaning sideways with your body right? Whats so good about this if a good thing at all? b) 4-5 hour campaign? I'll enjoy the 5 quality hours i put into playing the single player campaign, then move onto the multiplayer which is why the game is popular in reality. c) No dedicated servers? For anyone thats played the console COD4, aside from games that end straight away because of host issues, the lag isn't something i noticed much if at all. Maybe I'm new to the PC scene and need to truly experience dedicated servers to understand, but IMO P2P online is OK. d) $60 price tag. Ok you got me there, but if this game turns out good, price tag --> worth it.

1) I use lean alot to take out stubborn snipers. Very useful tool. You don't expose as much of your body when scouting and shooting, and if you do get shot, it usually isn't a one hit k.o. In a tactical sense, lean is exceedingly useful. 2) Why settle for 5 when you can get 20? Or 30? 3) Once you start using dedicated servers with low ping, you can truly have more precise aiming instead of laggy rates which is compensated by having large hitboxes and auto-aim on consoles. 4) For all the features ripped out, not worth $60.

Sorry bad company 2 is just going to rape. I always loved the battlefield series and bad company 2 looks amazing. mw2 looks no different then mw and is just going to be a lot crappier. Much rather spend my money on a good game that will keep me playing for months/years (bf2 definitely worth the 50$). Can't wait :D.

I love helicopters. Sure, jets are nice, but if you miss your target, realistically you have to realign yourself to your target and that takes quite a while. Helicopters provide that right tactical speed for me. Slow enough where you can snipe targets from a deck in a Black Hawk, but fast enough to pound lead into hostiles then zoom out of the way.

Trust me, it's not satisfying being on the other end... Especially since there's no anti-air infantry weapon (unrealistic) and there's no effective anti-air emplacement, which are actually "bomb me here" signs.

Seeing two Jets zip right pass you engaging in air combat, is simply marvelous(Fantastic audio feedback), despite the penalty of an experience player base camping with it. Air combat was the selling point for me to purchase BF2 and it was indeed very gratifying.

This has nothing to do with the MW2 controversy, but I've always liked the Battlefield series much, much better than the CoD series. The difference to me is night and day. CoD is a fun game for the Wii, but It's never been something I've cared for on my PC. The CoD series is better suited for consoles, and judging by recent developments, both IW and Activision agree.

lol... With Game Engines today, if Dice can provide sonic booms ingame with accurate audio feedback for Jets then I'll buy 3 copies of the game and capture a shot on my desk to prove.

The many different varieties of combat for BF2 is what makes it a unique FPS for me. Hardly having any Air combat for BC2 is really painful for me. Really hoping Dice provides information for Battlefield 3 much sooner.

People aren't bashing 9v9 gameplay, they are bashing the 9v9 limmit and the loss of controls over setting up games. With a 32x32 limmit, you can always set the game to 9v9 if you'd like. You can't play 32v32 when the game is limmited to 9v9. For the PC, this is a step backwards.

Not on my PC... (Specs: Phenom 2 Quad 3.4 Ghz, GTS 250, 4 Gb RAM...)

My CPU is pretty good, and that's what the game uses most. I would recommend you try the demo; its a great game. I imagine you would enjoy the editor. You could make yourself some pretty intense jet combat sequences...

After playing the first Bad Company, definetly BC2. It goes even higher above Modern Warfare 2 when you count everything Infinity Ward took out of it.

thx anyway for your reply, so i see many people choose BC2

i'm a fans of battlefield too, and i prefer BC 2 rather than MW2 cause it's multiplayer size and map, but not saying that MW 2 isn't a good game, i just miss the news saying that MW 2 is a bad game...
