I am planning to buy a new laptop, that has a webcam, good enough to play semi-resent games, small and sleek. The best match I have found is the Dell Xps 1530.

The main problem i am running into is that a lot of people purchased a video card [NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT with 256MB GDDR3] for it, but now the only option avaible is 128MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS which is far less superior. THe Geforce Go 8600 GT, can run games like COD4, assains creed, maybe not on the highest setting, but good enough for me.
Do anyone know what happened to the better card, and why dell is not offering it.Do anyone know what happened to the better card, and why dell is not offering it.

I can get the dell m1530 with a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache) and the 128mb for $999, 15 inch screen. So if you know of a better laptop please tell me for around the same price or less. It has to be sleek, thin, webcam, be able to run decent games. So if you know of a better laptop please tell me for around the same price or less.

wow, just from the specs it is a lot better, not sure how it is so much cheaper too. I am going to read some reviews, but thank you. If you bought it, how did you like it?

This, avoid dell at all costs. It's not worth the hassle and headaches you will get from dell. HP is much better.

the sager one is so cheap because they are not dell or hp. Both of those companies are very well know for inflating prices beyond belief.

You guys have made me realize new companies like Sagar, Asus, and many more. So after doing some research i came across. XOTICPC.com I found a good laptop, not sure what you guys think, i read that MSI is one of the top manufacturer, including Sagar and Asus.

FORCE 3551 (Built on MSI-1651)

Specs:

-15.4" WXGA "Glare Type" Super Clear.etc (1280x800)

- MSI -Intel® T9400 45nm "Montevina" Core™2 Duo 2.53GHz w/6MB L2 On-die cache 1066MHz FSB 35 wat

-nVidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB PCI-Express DDR3 DX10

-2gb of ram [just upgrade myself]

-320GB 7200RPM WD or Seagate $823.53

I can save 20us if i got down my hardrive size, since i delete a lot of stuff, but still i think that is a great price since i was going to pay 1200+ for a xps 1530. The Intel Processor is a special deal, was only 100us to upgrade, thought that was amazing since it was 6MB cache.

QUESTIONS:

1. Is this a good deal? or can i go cheaper

2. is 1680x1050 resolution worth an extra 100us?

4. what is Intel® Robson Turbo Memory, i read about it, but so confused, and is it worth it

5. Not sure if this is a good deal for ram, 60us--4,096MB DDR2 800MHz KINGSTON HyperX Matched Kit - Low Latency CL5 (2 SODIMMs) Dual Channel Memory SPECIAL! ( + 60 )

I really appreciate everything

A $1000 Asus with a GT 130M is good enough methinks. Gives more oomph than the 9 series mobile graphics.

The graphic in the model in in B class which means can't handle games like Crysis, COD4 in high setting. Actually there are lots of choice there such as ASUS and MSI. check this http://www.laptopforgames.com
