I have been craving to play Theme Hospital and of course I can only buy the UK version nowadays. That and the demo likes to crash... Does anyone else know of any good business strategy games? I find Sid Meier's Railroads! way too easy.

It is an old game but I really like it : Monopoly Tycoon. You build your buildings and start your business selling stuffs. Pretty fun and not that simple at the beginning.

Ever play Transport Tycoon?! That game is terrific, and at the tougher difficulty levels it's pretty ruthless. It's long been considered abandonware and there's even an "open source clone" online for download (I'm still not 100% on what that means, but whatever.) It's definitely on my top ten list, can't believe it was released way back in 1996 - it still stands up finely today. It's kind of like the old Railroad Tycoon, but you can ship stuff/people with trucks, vans, buses, trains, planes, ships, helicopters, etc.

Here's a link to the Open Source project: http://www.openttd.com/ I haven't played that one, but I think the original and deluxe abandonware are kind of a dark gray area for the forum, so I won't link them.

At it's heart, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is a business strategy game. you have to create and run a successful theme park. It's not truly about building roller coasters -- that's just a side amusement. It's a fun sim.

Ah yes, one of my favorite ones. Maybe with my "hitpoints" from Fileplanet I can get this one for nearly free.

That's a good recommendation, but I think (personally) the first was better.

A couple of simple, but fun ones are Lemonade Tycoon 2 http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/lemonadetycoon2newyorkedition/index.html?tag=result;title;2

& Fairy Godmother Tycoon http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/fairygodmothertycoon/index.html?tag=result;title;3

I'm giving these a try too now.

I just broke down today and purchased the UK version of Theme Hospital from nulime.com.
