so...i was getting into indie games with games like the legend of grimrock and torchlight 2
i wanted to know what the best indie game you played was?

Have been playin Braid and Mark of the Ninja lately. They're pretty sweet. But...
Chivalry. Most fun I've had with multiplayer in years. Got over 60 hours in it now, and I still play every day. It's just so brutal and satisfying.
There are a lot of great indie games, don't know what to choose, I'll just mention a few that impressed me in the last several years (some already mentioned), Braid, Age of Chivalry, Trine (especially 2), Dungeon Defenders, Cave Story, Eufloria (formerly known as Dyson, before going retail), Frozen Synapse, Nimbus, Hydrophobia (extremely rough game and overall pretty bad, but unique with interesting gameplay mechanics, lasted enough for it to not become unbrarable due to its "rough" state), Machinarium, Magicka, Rochard (suprisingly excellent game), VVVVVV, Edge and Minecraft.
Some I loved, some just felt fresh and exciting, I've never really been one to choose one ultimate, best of X, Y, Z game.
EDIT: Forgot Zeno Clash, another excellent game.
Not sure which games can really be called ''indie''. I'd say the Walking Dead. If that game isn't an indie, than Alan Wake.
And if that game isn't an indie aswell... Torchlight 2. Still amazing how an indie company can make a game better than Blizzard, with a lot less developing time
[QUOTE="Chiddaling"]The Walking Dead Game series is Indie right? So that.bonafidetkdont think so My mistake!
Amnesia and the Penumbra games. World of Goo and Super Meat Boy are also favorites.
Most recently, Chivalry Medieval Warfare
I really enjoyed Zeno Clash glad the sequel is finally coming out this spring. A bigger, better, and longer open world zeno clash its going to be so awesome :D
