planned or available from somewhere? I am getting alot of mixed messages from the community and am hoping to make my own opinion before I put my money where my mouth is

my own personal opinion and experiance is that the game looks, plays and feels fantastic on a decent rig (dual core cpu, 8800gt or higher, 2gig+ of ram) the cut scenes are also great.
However the gameplay becomes very repetative after you've completed one zone the next is just the same over again with the difficulty increased slightly.
The story seems to far fetched to belive i personaly didnt enjoy it, but thats not to say others may enjoy it.
The way your char moves around the city jumping from building to building was very original almost felt like prince of persia (the original 2d version) made into a 3d game.

Actually I think if they had released a demo prior to the retail version, that it would have helped sales. If they included just one city in the demo, most everyone would think "this is cool." Only after buying the game would they then realize that there is nothing new to see or do after the first city.

There is no plan for an AC demo. The developers have stated that.

Learn how to change your title and use a sufficient one. Besides making it sound like there actually is a demo available!
I have this strange feeling that a demo would have worked against them, because people might see beyond the hype. I think your only option is to play it on someone else's PC or Xbox and see if you are going to like it.
