About getting Empire Total war

Hey I am a fan of real timestrategy games such as Warcraft, Starcraft and copany of heroes. I have never played a Total war game before and I wonder if it's worth getting the new one.

Is it hard to learn? how long dose it take for a beginner to start play on my own without tooltip help? And I heard it was alot of problem with bugs and game crashes. Is that still a problem?

You should get it.It requires a lot of commitment but it's a good game overall.I suggest it to you.

If you are going to start the getting Total War games (and believe me they are fantastic) theres no better place to start than Empire Total War. The gameplay is accessible to beginners of the series but also requires lots of strategy. Plus cinematic naval battles are EPIC.

I would heavily recommend trying the demo, to see if you like it or not as well as to see if it can run well on your computer.

It isn't hard to learn.

It's easy to learn, very hard to master, and is the best strategy game released for at least the last 8 years.

Its great, the bugs at launch were BAD, anyone who says otherwise didnt play it, at launch their forums were filled with complaints, machines crashing, BSOD, awful performance, sorta like STALKER at launch :P. Its better now though, still needs some more optimizing but yeah its a good game now. But at launch it was awful.V4LENT1NE

I totally agree with this and Medeival II: Total War is fantastic

I bought it on the release day, which I now know I shouldn't have. It's a diamond in the rough, and it still needs to be patched, even though they've fixed quite a bit of bugs and balanced a bit, and more is to come. If I could go back in time I would buy it in a few months instead.

Seems to be alot of problems with the game after all. And my comp will run it smoothly. I have 6000+ AMD 4gig RAM Nvidia 8800gtx.

I rather wait for Empire than play Medival II. I like the time period alot more in empire and I would love to see the new graffics. I also played the demo now and it seems pritty nice. Now it's just the question get it now or wait. I have another friend that got the game and he have a problem with it crashing all the time in battle. He got same comp as I do so it might just happen to me aswell. Eny one knows what the problem might be?

I think the crashing bug is fairly random; both in who it happens to and when. I have played about 15 hours on it and it has not crashed once.
