Windows 8 help

I just installed Windows 8.1 on my laptop. Currently I am on Internet Explorer and I read that I have to click the bottom of the screen to get the address bar or search bar to show up. I just tried it and it didn't do anything. How do I get it to show up?

Bottom left, theres a tile called desktop, click that.

There should be 3 little dots to the left hand side down the bottom which will bring up the address bar.

Don't use internet explorer mobile. Use the either the full app, or be even better and download chrome or firefox. Always make sure you are in desktop mode. No need to use mobile apps unless you really really want to.
