It says you have to have the GeForce GTX 650ti Boost gpu or higher for g-sync to work. What about the GTX 970 will g-sync work on it?

just found this on the nvidia website

I've been waiting years for an ips monitor thats over 60hz... and it even has gsync. Says right at the bottom it'll work on a geforce 650ti and above also.
It'll work though you will probably want SLI GTX 970 if you want to fully take advantage of what G-Sync has to offfer.
@KHAndAnime: Depends on what Res monitor hes buying right? I bought the Acer 1080p version with Gsync. Now Ive been using DSR to downsample most games from 1440p so Im basically having my gfx card assume 1440p. Should be able to push that many frames at 1080p with a single card right?

Your not going to be able to drive higher-end games at 1080p with a single 970, and by drive I mean higher than 100 FPS as an example.
Will a 670gtx work on a 144hz monitor?. I heard some cards don't work right. I was planning on getting Benq 27" gaming monitor for PC and consoles and its 144hz.
@GTR12: True. That brings me to my current setup because down the road Ill be adding a second gtx970. Right now I have my monitor set to 144hz refresh rate. In a game like Shadow of Mordor I have no chance I hitting 144fps at 1080p. So do I need to bring down my monitors refresh rate to something the gtx970 can hit to see the benefits of gsync? Or will gsync adapt to what Im getting?
Also right now Im using DSR from 1440p so ill get like between 50-70 fps in that game.
@BassMan: Thanks. I have been downsampling from 1440p and even when a game hits 40fps it seems buttery smooth so I figured Gsync was doing its job.
I thought about getting the Rog swift at 1440p but I couldnt find it at msrp and I figured 1440p would be tough in some games with single gtx970. So i went with the ACER XB270H 1080p with gsync and am enjoying it quite a bit.
Yea I'm going to Sli 2 GTX 970's. The monitor I'm wanting is the Asus ROG SWIFT. Just wanted to make sure it would work on it. The monitor only had display port no HDMI. Never Used display port before so I take it it's better than HDMI.
never use HDMI if you have the option for DP. Its superior in every way.
