Why play Watch Dogs?

First of all let's get this straight. I'm posting this to figure out if I should buy Watch Dogs. I don't know too much about the game but maybe you all can enlighten me. Why do you want to play it? :)

Because there aren't a lot of sandbox games that remind GTA and GTA5 is not out yet on PC?

I see no other reason to.

Wait for reviews first, seing all the hype they created I'm sure it will be a great game. Sort of a futuristic GTA.

I like Ubisoft, I'm a big fan of the AC series, but nothing I have seen from Watchdogs has said "day 1 buy" to me. I am not a fan of GTA series so all comparisons to that really do nothing for me in terms of excitement. I'm also not a fan of driving/racing, so again, not a lot of interest there. Some of the stuff I have seen does look fun, but I am definitely waiting for reviews before buying.

At this point I would classify it in my mind as a "meh", neither excited nor actively disinterested. I will wait and see how it turns out before deciding.

Main problem of Ubisoft titles

CONS

- Much of the game feels like an overlong hand holding tutorial

- Over cluttered, style over substance UI

- Too much shitty meledrama/bad attempts at being Hollywood movie

- Titles like Assassin Creed have such simplistic and easy combat that is quite literally, press X to win (not the cast with Farcry 3)

- Lots of padding. Collect X item. Ubisoft have an obsession with money IRL and it seems to translate into video games.

Pro

- Ubisoft do actually make use of and push pc tech

- They usually have some great voice acting

How about you go do some research on the tittle and make the god damn decision yourself. It takes two seconds to type the god damn name in on youtube or google, and then you can make your own opinion instead of others spoon feeding you theirs.

Do you really need to be an A$$ about it? He asked a legit question to know people's opinions on this upcoming game. Geez some people need a whole bag of chill pills...

@FelipeInside: I've been asked a lot of dumb questions today. This one kind of broke the camels back. Ya I shouldn't be such a dick but he shouldn't be so lazy. It's not like he doesn't have fingers, eyes and a brain.

It looks like a flop to me. I haven't seen anything from the games footage which looks interesting. GTA has the comical gangster sub theme to keep the series entertaining, prostitutes, guns, ak47, drugs and fast cars. Watch Dogs has hackers?? hackers that use mobile phones to pull down car entry barriers... right...

I find my question to be legit regardless if I know a lot about the game or nothing at all. Sometimes you want to ask your peers how they feel about a game. By the way, I did more research on it and I still stick by my question.

It looks like they've put a lot of work into it. They have also put extra work into the PC version.

I was going to wait for reviews but I found it for £21.99 so I thought I'd take a punt.

I'll play watch dogs next year when steam puts it on sale for 10 bucks.

I hope the game is moddable, this makes Assassins Creed, actually feel like a game.

Reminds me of GTA and looks like it has potential. I'll most likely pick it up.

I'm a sucker for sandbox games so i'll be buying it.

this game struggles to play on the consoles so im thinking it could be a really bad PC port if they haven't even been able to get it working properly at 1080p on the consoles.

On the up side, they said you need an 4-8 core cpu to play this, so maybe it'll run good on an decent gaming pc. If this was Rockstar i would be more worried, their ports are instantly bad. I'm not sure about Ubisoft, last port I played was Far Cry 3, and it played decently.

Much more than that, watch the video where it shows all the features.

I know why I will be playing it. I got it for free with my gtx card order.

Just a heads up for UK guys, the steam price is £39.99. I picked it up on gaming dragons for £25. I accidentally selected the wrong version (wanted the special edition) and the guy gave me a refund within 10 minutes from paypal, great site.

What interests me about Watch Dogs? All my life I have had a rich full head of hair. My blonde curled locks are things of legend as if G*d stepped down from on high to a spritely loom and spun a golden tapestry that would make Michalengelo blush.

My hair is equal parts Samson and Godiva. A source of my unparalleled confidence and beauty.

As I stroll through the marketsquare, women want to be with my hair. Men want to be my hair.

The opportunity to play a protagonist with thinning hair and a receding hairline appeals to me. Oh...and cyber-drug trips.

Well it has to be a hell of a lot better than GTA V. I love the concept of surveillance as well.
