@@ Well not really. Every where I look it does say I7 3770K either in the bios or system and security it says processor. Intel Core I7 3770k CPU 3.50GHz 3.90GHz. But under system devices in device manager right at the bottom of system device its got installed.

Xeon Processor E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core Processor DRAM Controller - 0150

Xeon Processor E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core Processor PCI Express Root port - 0151

But under processors in the device manager this also says I have Intel Core i7-3770k CPU 3.50GHz in fact its got 8 as I presume this is something to do with threading.

But why does it say in system devices I have a xeon CPU and not a I7?.

WOW that is nearly as exact as mine apart from the 3rd one. I also have the z77 board mine is a z77xud3h. But why does it show up as xeon? I read that xeon process are for work station PC and not desk top. Seems strange why it should say it. I did do a test last couple of days and I no for a fact that its the INF file what it stalls it. What is a good bench mark too?. Thanks.

From what I understand... Is that for each PCI Express slot you fill it installs that driver for it. I have 2 PCIe 16x slots in use.

Since you only see one I assume you only have your graphics card and nothing else.

in my bios where you can selected how many CPU to enable where you select it

says Auto. On the left of that it says 4. I have changed Auto to 4 would this

heat up more or is this safe? Also When it does say Auto how may cores does it use?.
