Hey everybody, I just got finished getting my system specs analysis. Under CPU speed it says that I have 2.0 GHz performance rated at 4.94 GHz. I know this is a very stupid question, but does this basically mean that even though my CPU is labeled as 2.0 GHz, its actually really running at 4.94 GHz? I'm not very computer savy and therefore can't see how this is possible. I'm sure there's a simple explanation though. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks :-)

Believe it is in part due to the fact that Core 2 Duos have lesser clock speeds yet are faster than a P4 with a higher clock. So in order for a P4 to be as fast as a 2.0ghz C2D, it would need to be overclocked to like 5ghz+, that is where the rating comes in. This isn't exactly right, just more of a visual. Also I think it accounts for both cores, someone with a Pentium D should run it, see if it says your cpu is rated at its clock or higher because of the dual core.
