Hello fellow Gamespoters,

I put this pc build together about a year ago and have had no problems, until recently. For the past week when I boot up my PC, it boots to a black screen and I am not able to do anything other then restart. After the restart it has booted up fine every time... I thought maybe it could be trying to boot a different HDD, although all I've put in the PC is a USB drive... Not sure what it could be, any suggestions?

EDIT: The PC is loaded with Windows 7.

Could be a resolution or video input issue.

How is the PC connected to the monitor?

Through DVI, I also just moved and it began happening at that point. What would you suggest for this issue?

Well, to start with, do you have another DVI cable? or VGA cable? or even another monitor. First we need to figure out if it's the monitor or the PC.

Are you able to see the BIOS or something on the screen?

If not, remove your RAM, compressed air, put them again.
