Opinion on parts list

Right now i got Z87sabertooth, 4670K, 2X4GB dominator Platinum.

Now ive been thinking about new parts (again), and yes i will be overclocking once i get propper cooling.

I would like some feedback on my parts wich i want to get now.

750D Case (maybe more sensible then 900D)

H100i with 4X Noctua NF-F12 fans,

3X Noctua NF-A14 fans,

AX760i Powersupply (should be enouhg power to OC a hasswell right? )

2X Samsung EVO 250GB in Raid0 (500GB is about 30 bucks cheaper)

Asus 12D2HT BD combo drive (Reads BD, writes DVD and below)

Personally I don't see the point of RAID0 on SSDs, they're more than fast enough already and you're doubling the likelihood of data loss.

You haven't listed GPU(s), but personally I wouldn't bother with an AX unless you have 2 780s or something like that.

I'm assuming you have a HDD and you're not gonna be using the SSDs for data?

I forgot i got 1 GTX780 what i like about ax760/860 is 80plus platinum, and the fan doesnt go on until like 25 percent load.

The SSD will be used for the OS programs and games, i have 1 mechanical drive for backup purposes..

Everything i wanna keep, gets moved to the backup drive, the ssd would replace my HDD RAID0 array.

You should look at these for the fans for that H100 save some money and lose nothing Cougar 4 Fan pack

Any gold rated psu 650w+ will be enough , it also depends on gpu your using too.

No need for two SSD's for raid.

wait to buy a pc till watchdogs come out, lord fly

Ive seen a video on youtube on those cougars and on low rpm they made a certain noise wich i absoluyely didnt like,

and if i get one SSD, ill get 1X samsung EVO 500GB.

No it's just because you want to buy an i5 and next gen games recommend an i7 or 8 core amd.

I said watchdogs because it will be the first real next gen game, it won't cater previous gen platforms, if you wait out the benches , you will know exactly what to buy

I personally like the 750D case from Corsair Obsidian very much, though if you plant to do a custom loop, the 900D is probably better. The 750D might be good enough though. Certainly has room for the radiator in H100i. AX760i is more than enough for a heavily OC'ed 4670K along with a major OC on the GTX780. The Noctua fans are good, though if looks are important to you, they don't do so well. =/

Well its a fine balance between looks, and the effectiveness of it all. i mean i will be using this machine daily, and at some point somethign takes over from looks.

Id like my system to be silent, and ive seen a load of videos on noctua, cougar, and corsair fans. And the corsair and cougar made this noise that didnt sit well with me.

Simply put the noctua fans are superior in everything but maybe looks..

If your main concern is silence then I would look into noise dampened cases like a Fractal R4 and throw in some Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 fans in there... You won't hear a thing.

Also the AX760i is more than enough for your build... It would be enough for a SLI build with a GTX 760/GTX 770.

Well silence isnt my MAIN concern. Its a balance between performance, silence, and looks.

Have you heard of the NZXT H440?... It was given 10/10 by OC3D.

I think it hits your needs very well... Well as long as you like the look of it. Its noise dampened.

You could also get the Silent Wing 2 fans and some dampening foam throw that into a 750D and you should have any issues with noise what so ever.

Thats NZXT case isnt really for me, since i at least want 1 optical.

And ive been looking into the silent wings 2, and there bloody quiet :P i wonder how they stack up to a noctua on air flow though :D

It seems the Noctua fans, push more air, and have more static pressure though. Also a 140mm bequiet seems to be more expensive then a 140mm Noctua..

They are both companies who excel at enthusiast level QUIET parts so what ever the difference is its too little to even make a difference. You are looking at 2-3c when you compare their CPU coolers to each other D15 and Dark Rock 3... and they are both quiet.

It comes down to what most things come down to... Aesthetics. Personally I would go with a Dark Rock 3 over a D15 and I would go with a Silent Wings 2 case fan over a Noctua and that's simply because they are in black.

You know it actually may sound strage.. idk But more then once i wished i had another thumb button on my mouse, while gaming.

Ive had my eye on a mouse from logitech, the G502.

But then id have to make a choice, to either get the 500GB EVO SSD, or the G502 and save me some money.

To spend later on the SSD, or maybe a VG278HE monitor from asus.

Decisions decisions Sigh, ill be happy when im done :P

Its really to bad those silent wings 2 fans dont have a pretty high static pressure. i would use them as case fans, but how much difference would it make using them on the H100 ?

Versus NFF12 fans, or say SP120 fans ?
