Hi Guys,

I was just wondering whether it would be better to get Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013.

I will be getting Home and Student either way because those programs are the ones I need.

Which is better? Anyone use 2013? What do you think?

Thanks,

GamerGal13579

You might as well get 2013, it has better cloud integration with SkyDrive and webapps and all that stuff. Also if at anypoint you get yourself a Win8 tablet you'll get the touch functionality. Unless of course you can get 2010 at a much better price.

 That's what I currently use. Also of the two I would say 2010, if you are a student then try asking your school/university if they do a discount scheme or can point you in the right direction, we got our copies(whole class) for about 90% off the retail price that way.

2013 hurts my eyes, it's ugly and just a blanket of high contrast white. you can install trial versions of both, see which you prefer. http://regmedia.co.uk/2012/07/17/office2013prev-2.png

I don't see the point of getting Office 2013 since it's not eye-friendly (way too bright) and probably includes useless features. I'd go for the 2010 version. Hell, I'm still using 2007 and I'm happy with it - it does the job perfectly and the user interface is satisfactory.

2010 is better than 2007, it has a much improved grammar checker and a much better find system

Useless features for you maybe... but some of them are pretty cool. It's also faster than 2010 and therefore 5 times faster than 2007.
