Nether Good or bad?

Is this good or another Warz? Visually it looks quite nice.

Nether is a game. See? This is why I annoyed you people about grammar back on Fuse. :P A comma would have eliminated the confusion. :P

It took me a while to understand that title, lol. I thought it said neither good or bad.

Doesnt look like my kind of game because it looks like it has buyable in game currency called nether gold (?) which I am not a fan of in any game. Would like to hear some thoughts if anyone has the early access, though.

People currently cant play it because the servers are down.

With only 64-people per server, is there really no way for people to go about hosting their own dedicated servers?

I dono, I don't think the game lets you.

Regarding gold, on the steam forum it sayed they changed it due to negative feedback with the alpha, it no longer purchases usable items.

I watched a few youtube vids and most of them seem pretty positive.

I don't like it. Played it for about an hour and while the ads and screenshots make it look good, in-game it looks pretty terrible. The visuals are made worse by the fact that they use sprites for a lot of stuff they should have used meshes to make (certain plants, fences, etc.). Then there is the over-sized collision meshes which makes game-play feel incredibly clunky. The terrain collision is just as bad; it makes me feel like I am walking several feet above the ground, and I got stuck on nothing a lot. They did do a good job creating a creepy vibe though, so kudos for that. Unfortunately I already gave them my money for something that isn't even as good as WarZ (super cheesy version of DayZ mod for Arma II). If you want a good survival/zombie/monster game, wait for DayZ or go play the DayZ mod for Arma II if you already own Arma II with the OA expansion. I see Nether flopping in the near future.

I didn't like it either. Felt very clunky, environment was very bland and repetitive. Its not another Warz, i think the devs are actually trying to make a good game, but from what I played it was pretty weak.

Don't know till I try it out.

Nether gold is used only to buy cosmetics for your character, nothing more.

Other then that , I have logged 60 hours in the past 4-5 days alone. I enjoy the game a little to much, especially with other people.

With all the new patches to come, the game has some great potential. Let me just add, with everything maxed, the game looks quite gorgeous. Definitely worth the buy in my case!
