Hello everybody my pc is crap and i need some pc games that don't requires hardware transform & lightning Here are my pc spec: CPU: Intel Pentium D 3ghz Mobo: Msi 09a0 Graphics Card: Onboard Intel GMA 3000 chipset intel 946gz RAM: 512 MB Power Supply: 250Wvolcanexploder
Age of Mythology and maybe Warcraft 3 (not sure).
You should upgrade your PC. It's a freaking dinosaur.
I had warcraft 3 tft but now i want to try some other gamesvolcanexploder
Age of Mythology, Curse of Monkey Island, Freedom Fighters, Max Payne etc might work.
Everything up untill 2001. Some later games may work too (I can confirm all games with Quake 3 engine, NOLF1, Operation Flashpoint without Resistance, Black & White 1, Soul Reaver 2, Sacrifice, Project IGI, ect. Unreal Tournament 2003 may work too).
Doom 1 on low settingsbiggest_loser
lolwut?
Doom 1 runs perfect on a 486 PC
Go to GOG.com (good old games)
There are a plethora of wonderful titles to choose from that you could run with no probs.
I heartliy recommend:
Shogo: Mobile Armour Division - An FPS with mecha's and a great story!
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura- A brilliant ans engaging Steampunk RPG.
Outcast - An FPS and massive sandboxy adventureOnly $4.19 right now! BUY IT!
And of course...
Baldurs Gate - This is still a fantastical price for one of the best games of all time.
Other great games like Icewind Dale and Pychonauts are at $9.99. Blood 1+2, Independence War, Alone in the Dark are all on sale at $4.19. Get over there my friend.
Sid Meier's Pirates! should run ok depending on the settings. It's worth looking into if you've never played it.
It plays fine on my 3 year old non-gaming laptop.
I'm gonna echo GoG. It has so many good old games you will keep yourself busy for months. Best part is the games are all either $6 or $10. My favorite ones from the service are here with an explanation as to why. All of them but Unreal Tournament 2004 (try the demo, I am unsure if it will work) will work flawlessly on older systems.
If you want to do a little work you can get modified drivers.
Then after installing those you can make a registry file and add in each game you want.
This will switch hardware T&L and vertex shaders to work on software (CPU).
I do this on my laptop;
Intel Celeron M 420 1.6ghz
1gig ddr2 667mhz RAM
Intel gma 950
Windows 7 ultimate
And I can run most games from last gen on med-high settings.
The big limit you have on your system is only 512mb of RAM.
You can pick up RAM for very cheap.
512mb of laptop ram only cost me around 6USD
unreal tournament 2004 runs at high settings i went to www.systemrequirements.com/cyri and the games runs on recommended requirementsvolcanexploder
That thing lies, don't use it. On my old computer I checked to see if I could run Fallout 3 and it didn't even meet the recommended requirements according to the site, yet I was able to play it on high settings at 20-30 FPS. It also said that I passed the recommended requirements for Crysis, couldn't even run it on high settings...
i know that but it sometimes it says the truth i met all the requirements volcanexploder
Then you should try checking the game on your PC and confirm whether it works.
Happy gaming :)
i can't find modified drivers for my GMA 3000 . I have searched but there are only for other gma like 950 945 x3000volcanexploder
The 3000 is similar to the 950 so you can try those drivers and see.
The drivers are called code Sherry or something like that.
Just make sure to have the default intel drivers downloaded so if the modified drivers don't work you can reinstall the default one.
it does't work i can't even run the setup it says that i don't meet the requirementsvolcanexploder
Which game? Unreal Tournament 2004?
Hello everybody my pc is crap and i need some pc games that don't requires hardware transform & lightning Here are my pc spec: CPU: Intel Pentium D 3ghz Mobo: Msi 09a0 Graphics Card: Onboard Intel GMA 3000 chipset intel 946gz RAM: 512 MB Power Supply: 250Wvolcanexploder
A GMA 3000 is better than the ATI X1200 of my 2007 Toshiba laptop which was able to play just fine the following games: Battlefield 1942/DCX, Pacific Fighters, Red Alert 2, C&C 2, Quake 2, and the original Homeworld. Those were with Vista installed. When I had XP installed, I was able to add C&C: Generals.
Maybe it would be smart to invest in a used graphics card, for example a Radeon 9600 PRO. You can get those very cheap and they will not only make games which require T&L playlable, but also games that require Pixel Shaders (up to 2.0 version for this card). Just make sure you have the AGP slot.
Old classics! I still play Wizardry 8 and Jagged Alliance 2... and System Shock 2! The original Majestywas rather good as well. Lots of old classic games to keep youbusy till you can upgrade... I have been there before as well. More random classics that come to mind; X-COM (first 3), Fallout (first 3), Star Control 2, Red Alert 2, Doom 1 and 2 and Duke Nukem 3d with itsgraphics pack.
What is your favorite genre? RTS, FPS, RPG... ?
