Could have saved on the PSU,don't need 1000w unless you plan to tri-sli the 770.

Everything else seems fine to me

I personally wouldn't go with a videocard with less than 3 gigs of memory.

You should get a bigger monitor, like a new ASUS 27" VS278Q

I agree, I think 2GB is a bit on the lower end. It's not bad at all but not great, I don't see it lasting a very long time. 1000W PSU is very unnecessary. Other than that it's not a bad first gaming PC. Enjoy!

Could've have taken i5 as I previously suggested with R9 290 which is more powerful GPU, aslo a 100$ MOBO with SLI, normal speed RAM for 70$, better CPU cooling with all the money you've saved.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/v9PLdC this is my build for 1500$.

The monitor is IPS, once you go IPS you can't go back. (IMO)

Any card with 2GB or less of memory will probably struggle this coming year, I would have spent the little extra for 4gb version of the 770 or downgraded PSU to 750W to stay in the budget.

Drop down to a 600W PSU and get a 290 or 780 instead.

Get rid of that 1000W PSU (get 750W instead) and get a R9 290 or GTX 780. You can get about 23" IPS monitor for $150.

Don't go any lower than 750w on the PSU. Looks good have fun. Here's my monitor and I got it refurbished. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005BZNDS0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It came practically brand new still in box with the sealed packaging. Works great, great size.

Good point but even 3gigs won't be enough for future games, not even at 1080p.

Get a cheaper psu(you don't need more than 600w) and switch the 770 for a 290 minimum.

Future games are all going to be console ports so 3GB is plenty. I currently have GTX580 1.5GB memory card and I bet that will do for a couple of years, although I am upgrading to a GTX780 purely for insane mods like WatchDogs.

false, when you have a gpu stuck with 256bit bus 2gb vs 4gb even at 5760x1080 with AA gains are slim to none. 4gb on the 770 is only useful when SLI'ing, and even then 2gb vs 4gb gains are slight at high resolutions.

"Finalized and being built. Proud of it."

Wait just a second there little sonny jim. Are you building this thing or having it built for you? Sorry but master race status only to self-builders. Then you can be proud. But you can be proud if you did learn something about hardware and such. Honestly this is 90% of the battle. Most people are just too lazy to read/research to understand the components/compatibility.

Awesome first build. As for the PSU/GPU, I would personally stick with the 1000 watt and the 770, and just put in another 770 in a couple months.

I know it would have cost more but I definitely would have done an X99 build with an Intel 5820K and DDR4 memory.

I would have also picked up a better monitor, gaming on a 23" is like 5 years ago - get at least 27" 2560 x 1440.

Maybe not now but spending a bit extra now may make it so an upgrade could be put off for a year or two.

Your minimum frame rate wouldn't be as good as a mainstream build i5/i7 because the IPC of the 6 core aren't on par when not overclocked, they're great for mutli threaded tasks.

lol 2GB nvidia

That PSU, massive overkill, could have saved +$60
